  1. The way Trent Edwards quit on the field in his last NFL start was disgusting. I think he threw 3 consecutive balls 10 feet over TO's head and then turned to Gailey and TO as if to say "there I threw it to TO, happy now?!?!?" and proceeded to run out of bounds on 4th and something rather than give his team even the slimmest chance to win.
  2. Double forward pass doesn't bother me since it has to be behind the LOS.
  3. Hello tech nerds of TBD! Thanks to my boss, I have the pleasure of building a shared database and workflow system and my only resources are people less tech savvy than me. Needless to say since I'm starting a thread on OTW, I am officially desperate for help. The goal is to leverage our nationwide workforce of about 100 junior pukes and have them enter transaction data to a shared database during their downtime. We have a decade or so worth of completed analyses each with transaction data we would like centralize and analyze. Actual data visualization and analysis will take place in Tableau. My job is to organize, facilitate, and lead the effort to compile the data as accurately, efficiently, and timely as possible with a view on maintaining a live/current database moving forward. So far I have a rudimentary database setup in Access and Sharepoint site. What I need is a document library/repository to contain the few thousand completed analyses (each analysis is an Excel file and represents a record which needs to be manually uploaded to the database) and a work queue to distinguish between records (analyses) which are New and need to be entered, In Process, or Complete. In Process and Complete records would be moved out of the central repository so I don't have 20 different idiots entering the same record. Newly completed analyses would be uploaded to the repository and default to New. Document library is fairly simple but I have a had zero success with slapping a work queue on top of it. Example: Mary Jane in the San Francisco office has no work assigned this week. She logs in sees 900 "New" analyses in the work queue. She looks at the top of the list and selects the first record, changes the status from "New" to "In Process". This item no longer appears in the queue as available. She begins the soul crushing exercise of manually entering data into Access. 20 minutes later she is finished and changes the status from "In Process" to "Complete". She repeats the process and is rewarded with hours which count toward her Utilization target and delays her dismissal from the firm. Poor kids all over the nation will be suffering the same fate at the same time until we are current. I would like to accomplish this task within the Microsoft suite if possible (Sharepoint, Power Apps, Access) but I am open to suggestion. If I can set up a minimally viable prototype and not completely f@#% the data up in the process, I am confident that I can secure funding and get someone who actually knows what they are doing to come in and make my pile of crap a professional looking operation. Thanks in advance. How f@#$ed am I?
  4. In Sammy's last 3 years he has yet to eclipse the production he realized in his first two years in Buffalo.
  5. I do remember that and I've been trying to substantiate that claim ever since. No luck finding a single mention of it online.
  6. WTF does this sentence even mean? The PAT isn't automatic in today's game since it was pushed back. These sentences should be combined. Don't begin consecutive sentences with "they". Sentence is unclear. Sounds like they're kicking from "scrimmage" (equally unclear, should say 2 yard line), 5 yard line and the 10 yard line for increasing increments of points. Send this to me, Matt, and GEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEoff for editing before publishing next time.
  7. What good is talent if you aren't eligible to play?
  8. I do not care at all how @Teddy KGB sauces boneless wings at the Chilis in Newport News.
  9. So is it more likely to attack or their capacity for damage if they do attack?
  10. Anybody in this thread spend some time working at Gabriel's Gate, Duff's, Anchor Bar, Bar Bill, Elmo's and have some trade secrets to share? I see a lot of chatter in various forums where pizza takeout places are using Whirl/liquid margarine and veg oil in wing sauce rather than butter. I'm guessing this is mainly due to cost savings as butter is more expensive than whirl but it occurred to me that Whirl and Veg oil are liquid at room temp whereas any sauce rich with butter will congeal at room temps and turn solid at fridge temp. Perhaps the congealing is why I've seen one of my favorite spots for wings saucing theirs in a skillet over a lit burner. Pretty sure adding sauce to steaming hot fried food will result in soggy skin in short order but adding a steaming sauce to perfectly fried food may be the secret.
  11. I have used that method on multiple occasions and the results were great. As I mentioned up thread, my frying technique is solid. Now I'm focused on the last remaining variables: 1. When to sauce wings - straight out of the hot oil OR wait until no longer steaming. I've personally had best results when waiting 2 or 3 minutes after frying. 2. Temperature of the sauce when saucing - I normally use a room temp sauce but I have seen some of my favorite wing places (Richmond's in Rochester, NY) toss their wings in a skillet with what I would guess is a hot, as in thoroughly heated, wing sauce. 3. Viscosity of the sauce - I have noticed over the years any wings in an asian inspired glaze, like thai chili, general tso's, korean styles, retain their crunch sometimes for hours while classic Buffalo wings from the same establishment get soggy relatively quickly or arrive soggy to begin with. The consistency of the sauce must be another prime variable. Sugary ingredients ( a no go for Buffalo wings) and corn starch thickeners can be found in nearly all of these asian sauces. Some of these questions seem obvious but there is very little info out there on the topics above. I guess this weekend I should sacrifice a few wings in the name of science.
  12. There is no such thing as overthinking when the end goal is a consistently perfect chicken wing.
  13. This is what I'm interested in. My frying technique is on point but I've noticed that timing of saucing, temperature of the wings and the sauce when saucing, and viscosity of the sauce all play a role in the outcome. There is little discussion of these variables on the internet. Anyone have any insight?
  14. Let me be more specific since your legendary powers of deduction have deserted you in old age. Start at any position over any legitimate NFL talent.
  15. Taysom would be a great addition to our special teams unit. Start.
  16. I had assumed from the very start that impeachment was more about posturing in advance of the 2020 election rather than a sincere attempt to remove Trump from office. Its a gambit, since Trump will rub it in their faces and grandstand if he makes it out of this process without suffering any big blows but if the Dems can drag this out and dominate the messaging/media then expect to hear the talking point of "one of only 3 presidents in history to be impeached. How can you re-elect someone who was nearly removed from office?". I could be wildly off base since I don't actually pay attention but that is my line of thinking.
  17. Ask about structure, team size, emphasize opportunities for growth. Don't talk about unhappiness with your current job. You're interested in personal growth, new challenges, and an opportunity to grow within their exciting organization. Wipe off your chin before you go in for a clammy handshake.
  18. This is going to get way bigger in the coming days. I hear the emails are just the tip of the iceberg and the Saints are involved in way more than just covering up a local arch diocese. When the news breaks remember you heard it here first: Sean Payton murdered Epstein.
  19. It might in West Texas.
  20. Say it to my face, 8th grader!
  21. Dwight Drane's most memorable contribution to Bills history was this gem:
  22. https://www.indiewire.com/2020/01/mindhunter-season-3-cast-contracts-cancelled-1202203667/ Fincher is working on another long-term project and the cast has been released from their contracts. It hasn't been canceled as much as shelved indefinitely with no obligation to return.
