  1. And some fans in from Texas. Seriously might bring my Arctyrx for the morning tailgate. I really don't understand how I existed up there for so long.
  2. Typical first date chatter "Whats your favorite movie? Also, what do you think about Roger Goodell and the NFL's social justice campaign?".
  3. She was also responding to a guy telling her "go into the locker room and tell him "get your ass out there!". She was giggling the whole time during this hypothetical exchange. The whole thing was a joke.
  4. I expect him to be happy as a clam in Houston. Up until the day that he isn't and forces his way to a 4th team. Rinse, wash, repeat.
  5. Grow up.
  6. This one is fun too.
  7. 50 second mark
  8. Coleman and Shakir might actually be able to execute on those due to their physicality. Diggs can break a tackle but he did surprisingly little with those screens.
  9. He started catching a lot more balls near the LOS once Brady took over and he didn't do much with any of it. Other than that I am not sure how he was used differently. He dropped a lot of balls during that stretch but he was getting open. According to the advanced stats, he was separating as well as he ever had post Dorsey. He was out there and he was still running hard but mentally I think he checked out after Dorsey was canned and it was time for him to move on One of the big ironies of the year was that Allen missed Diggs deep so many times throughout the season but of course when Allen puts one on the money, Diggs lets it go right through his hands. Diggs isn't retiring in Houston. Hes got at least two more uniforms to wear before his career is over.
  10. Just saying...Donte Stallworth?? But why??
  11. There is video of the incident and he has publicly apologized for his actions. Not only do we know what he was accused of, but we know what he did and we have no doubt about his guilt. Thats a pretty unique fact set. Does Goodell really need to know the severity of public sentencing to inform the length of Rice's suspension?
  12. You know its going to happen week 1. Why wait? No, but I bet you know the off brand bogan equivalent and I bet 'downunda Tayyyyla Swhiifft' is 5x worse than the original.
  13. You have a problem with the financing? Defunct companies don't pay principal, interest, or management fees. NFL franchises appreciate in value at incredible rates. Where's the growth potential in a single family home? If there is money to be made, PE is on it. Plus there is the cool factor. I would bet a 10% stake gets some PE big wigs a lot of perks and access. Maybe Blackrock gets a day with the Lombardi if their team wins?
  14. I understand that private equity, Blackrock, and our financial system in general represents the boogey man for many people but in my experience of providing services for many a PE deal I see quite a few transactions where the target is a company with serious growth potential in need of the access to capital and stewardship from a PE partner to take things to the next level. Of course I also see the deals where PE buys a floundering company. Usually the first to get fired are the old management team. These are companies that are usually dead men walking. The idea of corporate raiders enacting hostile takeovers and scrapping healthy companies for parts is highly inconsistent with my nearly 20 years of transaction services. Can't do much raiding with a minority stake in an entity where pretty much any major decision requires the approval of 31 other owners. This is all about owners giving themselves an opportunity to de-risk the fact that a majority of their wealth is tied up in a franchise and get an infusion of cash when needed.
  15. I have similar sentiments to the Tua extension. Not enough years and not enough dollars!
  16. See...this is why I keep my money stuffed in various mattresses or in old coffee cans buried around the backyard. Everything is going straight to hell!
  17. I really thought this was going to be another fire McDermott thread presenting an argument that he was turning into a cockroach
  18. Dear Work Journal, OMG, today was the worst day EVER!! Everyone was sooo mean to me today and someone even read YOU without my permission $%$#^! *cat HISSSing noises* #$@%^$. I feel so violated and I'm soo stressing that whoever read this is going to find out about my secret crush on Slippery Pete the electrician (hes sooo cute sighhhh)...I'm totes quitting this job after I get my drivers license. Well, todays another day and I'm trying to stay positive. Talk to you later! Love, Sweats
  19. Cody Ford allegedly cheated on his former fiance. They broke up because of it. Now he is dating someone else who sometimes wears a jacket. Cody's former fiance thinks new girl is wearing her old jacket. Social media drama ensues.
  20. I can't believe I read that whole article. Sadly enough, it wasn't the biggest waste of my time today.
  21. I understood what you wrote and what you have implied perfectly, because this is the least complicated issue I have dealt with today: Diggs is a highly inefficient player and this offense has improved in his absence by elevating more efficient players like Shakir. Despite understanding your point, your data, and your argument....I still disagree. I disagree that Diggs is an inefficient player either historically or currently due to decline, I disagree that the offense has improved as a result of losing Diggs, and I disagree that Diggs replacements are better. I believe Diggs had to go, but I do not believe we are the better for it. If Diggs is here and motivated, I believe he is still the best WR on the team by considerable margin I would consider an entire body of work when assessing a player's efficiency because, in my opinion, 10 games does not trump the other 118 games Diggs has played. Why wouldn't you want consider the entire body of work before confidently declaring that the offense improved by losing the best skill player on the team for the past four seasons? What we can agree on is that once Brady took over, Diggs stats took a big hit. But extrapolating the best 10 game stretch in one player's career and the worst 10 game stretch in another's to draw sweeping conclusions about the future success of this offense is a risky endeavor, especially when there are multiple factors at play. Diggs was never an inefficient player before so I find it difficult to believe that his talents suddenly declined as precipitously as his stats coincidentally once Brady took over play calling responsibilities. Stefon Diggs statistics have consistently been in line with #1 WRs who command 150 targets per season. If Brady can't get anything out of him, again I might have to look at Diggs 118 games and weigh them against Brady's 10 games at OC, and call into question Brady's ability as a coordinator. If anything, this fact set has me more concerned about Brady because I have a much larger track record to rely on in assessing Diggs. Diggs yards per target stand out in particular over those 10 games. I guess I don't fault Diggs for being asked to catch so many balls behind or at the line of scrimmage. You brought Shakir into this conversation in the first place and then declared I had to stop talking about Shakir. I do not recognize your authority, and you will have to get comfortable with that. Why bring him up in the first place if he is irrelevant to the discussion? And why even bother comparing stats for a slot WR with 65 career targets to a #1 who had 160 targets last season?
  22. If you want to die on the hill of 10 games makes two careers, you are more than welcome.
  23. Right....because the conversation was sooooo hard to follow.....who could possibly comprehend such elevated discourse? The answer is no one, clearly. You said "Gone are two highly inefficient players in Diggs and Davis". There was no qualification. You have had multiple opportunities to amend that statement but instead you have tripled down. I can only go off what is written. Diggs 2022 season was an excellent year by any conceivable metric. Again, this is a preposterous opinion. So what are you arguing at this point? Are you arguing that the last 10 games of 2023 is representative of who Diggs and Shakir are as players? I hope not. I would hate to see this position fall apart when Shakir's efficiency numbers come back down to earth, as every reasonable person knows that they will, now that he is stepping into a larger role in this offense. It would be even the worse if Diggs sees an increase in his efficiency numbers now that he is not the focal point of the passing offense. I highly doubt the Texas offense will find themselves so lost for answers that they throw 5 to 6 prayers somewhere in the vicinity of Diggs a game or try to force a screen game through him.
  24. And you are only comparing Shakir's small body of work as the 3rd or 4th option in this offense to the worst stretch of games in Diggs' career. And the conclusion that you're drawn, is that the best WR play this franchise has ever seen is "highly inefficient". Why don't you just stop embarrassing yourself.
  25. Shakir having off the charts efficiency stats, which all reasonable people expect to come back down to earth this year, does not mean that anyone who was actually a featured receiver in an NFL offense is "highly inefficient". Diggs catch rate is negligibly different than AJ Brown, Puka, Justin Jefferson. Diggs 2023 stats were nearly identical to his 2021 stats. I guess he's just been quietly inefficient his whole career? Yes, you know Shakir's stats. No, you don't know how to interpret them and have drawn silly conclusions about Diggs in the process.
