What are the lines going to look like with Simmonds in the mix? Does he join 3rd line in place of ERod/Frolik? Does he bump Vesey. I would love to see Skinner back on first line. Oloffson is basically a PP specialist and Skinner has been highly productive 5 on 5 before this year. Playing him with Lazar and Frolik seems punitive.

Okposo has been playing good hockey lately and that 4th line appears to have found real chemistry. His vision has been on display. Repeatedly we have seen strong pressure from the 4th line and more often than not the little play or the pass that started it all was coming from Okposo. Hes just a step too slow from being a difference maker.

I didn't misread anything. Ottawa did not dominate that game. Buffalo outplayed Ottawa and easily could have won that game. If you score 4 goals you should win the game. Unfortunately, when your starter gives up 4 in 5 minutes and completely melts down, no amount of offense is good enough.

They were not dominated by a better team. Ottawa may, MAY have outplayed buffalo for about 10 minutes of the full 60. Hutton shat the bed giving up 4 goals in 5 minutes. Every matchup is "problematic" when you're starting goalie has a save percentage of 85% .

I like this idea. Trade our first round pick. No too many moving parts, not overly complicated. Its easy to understand and should be easy to execute given the loose parameters. All good plans should be flexible. The more rigid and complicated the plan the greater the chance of failure. This is the type of thoughtful analysis that I come here for.

Its all about making an immediate splash in Vegas. If they don't have immediate success they are looking at 16 road games a year for the foreseeable future. The Golden Knights demonstrated how powerful it can be to start strong in year 1. I think its going to be a disaster with or without Brady but I think going to a game in Vegas could be a lot of fun.

What an epic pants shitting by Hutton. I haven't seen a pants shitting like that since the last time Hutton completely soiled himself. Hutton may have dysentery. It looks terminal. Hutton has no business being an NHL goalie. Not even as a backup. He has no composure. And I'm not just referring to his penchant for giving up at least one more head scratcher shortly after allowing a softy (and he almost always gives up a softy). I'm talking about how he plays with no control. He panics in the crease and finds himself out of position way too frequently. Every wrap around attempt I'm holding my breath. Goal 1 was a classic Hutton softy. Yeah, skinner is a half step behind giving up the bad angle chance but you need to keep that out of the net at any level. #2 Hutton is flailing wildly with his stick, whiffs entirely and takes himself out of position with no chance to get his glove up. Goal #3 he does nothing to control the rebound and leaves it sitting in the crease while Dahlin comes up small picking up neither his man or the puck. Goal #4 , I don't know. It was a nice shot. I blame Eichel most of all on that one. Long-distance wrister...I think you got to make that save. But goal #5....goal #5 was just effing pathetic. HOW does Hutton let that little bouncer just sit right there in the crease for an easy tap in??? HOW??? Goal Unpopular opinions: Eichel is a great player but he should never be on a PK unit. Ottawa goal #4 the captain gets an assist. He went fishing, looking for a strip and a breakaway. He got neither the puck nor his man and the Sens went 4 on 2 back the other way. Dahlin is slick with the puck but he has a long way to go defensively. Reinhart is a lazy f@$# in his defensive end. Harrington is a dick but Rhino deserves some flack for his defensive effort. All 3 players are too nonchalant with the puck at the point and when crossing the offensive blue line. Skinner had a lot of nice looks tonight. Its only a matter of time before he starts lighting the lamp again. It pains me that hes paired with ERod who gets beautiful scoring chances every games and turns them into something resembling Hutton's bed. i.e., covered with *****. Okposo had a nice game.
