  1. They aren't going to review months of film (which I doubt was retained more than 2 weeks) with hopes of finding a guy who tied a noose on a garage pull for reasons unknown.
  2. In any event I doubt there was any racist intent. Tying a noose with hopes it will offend someone at some point down the line seems like a pretty stupid plan. With the current tension around the country, NASCAR's recent ban of confederate flags, Bubba's BLM decals on his car I certainly see how anyone encountering that knot in his garage would immediately think the worst. There was no hate crime. There was no hoax or play for victim hood. There was only a series of coincidence.
  3. The knot in diagram is not the same as the actual knot found in the garage. Look at where the excess rope ends in the diagram vs. the picture from ESPN. The pic from ESPN looks a lot like this one:
  4. https://www.espn.com/racing/nascar/story/_/id/29364817/nascar-releases-image-noose-found-bubba-wallace-garage-says-concern-was-real A picture of a the double bowline, fixed loop knot that in now way could be mistaken for a noose unless someone was really reaching for their victim card.
  5. Its way more of a situation where we had a lame duck GM and we weren't going to saddle the incoming GM with a QB that he didn't personally select. It was awful timing. I am pretty confident had Beane been in place before the draft we would have selected Watson or Mahomes. It all worked out to a point but I still find it strange that ownership hired the HC before the GM.
  6. Correct he did say that which I never disputed. Now lets talk meaning and context which others have misconstrued. Or don't. I have already spent inordinate time explaining context, flow of conversation, and cutting my own posts up into bite size pieces for you illiterates.
  7. He specifically responded to the question "Have you seen ropes like that hanging from garages...is that typical?". Watch the interview. https://www.cnn.com/2020/06/24/us/bubba-wallace-response-fbi-hate-crime-investigation/index.html
  8. Its really not at all what he said. And the FBI said it was a noose.
  9. You may be SOL in Rochester now that my old jam ButaPub has closed.
  10. The broadcasting hall of fame??? Hell no.
  11. Maybe white folks in their communities were treated much worse back in 1963?
  12. Not just once. Three times you had the opportunity to actually read the post you responded to. The first post and the two additional times I quoted myself for your convenience. To say I dropped hints would be an understatement. I flat out broke it down for you twice and still you couldn't crack the case. How magnanimous of you to admit fault now.
  13. And it only took 5 posts beating him over the head with what was obvious to everyone else. A new record!
  14. Or you can admit that you still haven't read or understood my post that you f@#$ing responded to with 10 things that other people posted. Jauronimo: I have not once in this thread suggested there was wrongdoing or hateful intent. GG: *post from someone else* Jauronimo: I didn't say that GG: "What about this one? Jauronimo: I didn't say that either GG: Well someone said it! Jauronimo: Yeah, again not me. Read the first post. GG: Admit you were wrong!! If I wanted to deal this ***** I'd be in PPP getting it from 10 of you at once.
  15. Except I didn't say "it didn't exist in this thread"..... The operative word is "I". Just stop.
  16. Who are you quoting this time? It isn't me.
  17. Because you quoted someone else in response to this statement: He better not even try to play the "I'm avatar blind!" card.
  18. He specifically responded to the question "Have you ever seen ropes like that hanging from garages...is that typical?". So let me paraphrase "No, I have never seen a f@$#ing noose used as a garage pull in my life!". He expands on the idea and counters the speculation that he and his team built a mountain of a mole hill by reacting to a common looped knot. He also acknowledges it wasn't meant for him or his team.
  19. I have not once in this thread suggested there was any wrongdoing or hateful intent. I can envision other reasons why someone on Bubba's team or Bubba himself might have different reactions to the noose used for everyday practical applications other than doubling down on "victim hood" as has been theorized up-thread.
  20. You could attach a rubber chicken to the garage and call it a garage pull. Some might still call it a rubber chicken. Especially when its the only time you've ever seen a rubber chicken used as a garage pull.
  21. That is "doubling down"? You and @LeviF91 should check out #BubbaSmollett which is trending on Twitter and you'll see what he is responding to.
  22. Some would argue that calling another out for virtue signalling is an act of virtue signalling. While others would argue that virtue signalling is so over used and has strayed so far from its hazy origin that it has no particular meaning at this point.
