Redskins facing severe pressure to change name.

Because essentially none of the Irish or Irish-American community feels anything but pride or indifference regarding the name and there is no apparent racist intent in the history of the term and team lore. -

The Redskins debate is over 50 years old. This isn't the next battle field in the war against micro-aggressions. No microscope or new Berkeley TA was needed on the topic of the Redskins name. -

And are you going to divorce now that same sex unions are also called marriage? I would. If the Redskins change their name I'm done with the NFL, football, and television in general. -

Did changing the name of a tax advantaged relationship structure make you less satisfied with your wife? -

You NEVER associated Redskins and this logo with native americans? How? What do you think the name is referring to? -
There are other differences between a Neapolitan pizza and most pizzas we eat in the U.S. True Neapolitan is cooked in a wood fired oven, uses only fresh buffalo mozzarella or fior de latte, uncooked tomatoes for sauce, and has to be cooked in 90 seconds or less. It should have a thin crispy shell but the crust should be light and pillowy underneath. A slice of this pizza will not support itself under its own weight. Then you have thick crust sicilian style pizzas. These are cooked in steel pans and the crust essentially fries in a generous amount of olive oil coating the pan. Its essentially a focaccia bread topped with tomatoes and cheese. Both of these are true "Italian style" and they couldn't be more different. Your NY style pizza, in contrast, can cook in a gas or coal oven (which actually gets much hotter than a wood fired oven), can be topped with raw seasoned tomatoes or a cooked sauce, is defined by using low-moisture whole milk mozzarella rather than the fresh stuff, and is boundless in terms of toppings. The crust is crunchier and should be able to support its own weight with a slight fold. Usually cooking in about 4 minutes. Your best NYC slice is not a true "Italian style" pizza by definition. Pizza was invented by Italians but in my opinion it was perfected by Italian-Americans. People like to wax poetically about what is and what isn't a true "Italian style" pizza but most of the time its pure nostalgia based on whatever they grew up with. Now that we've established that pretty much none of the pizza we eat in this country it true Italian style, why not embrace other styles of pizza like Buffalo NY style, or Chicago style, or Detroit style?

Does the NFL have a bubble plan? Covid rising
Jauronimo replied to Ramza86's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It is interesting. My understanding is ICUs operate around 80% of capacity most of the year. So a sudden shock to the medical system, like a pandemic, can easily push our healthcare system to a point of overload. As in, inability to treat new patients. -
What's your favorite crockpot recipe?
Jauronimo replied to Westside's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Agreed on crock pot pulled pork. If you can't do it in a smoker then just throw it in the oven. Why would you roast a chicken in a crock pot when it takes 45 mins to perfectly roast a chicken in your oven? -

Statistically, Brady put up better numbers last year than Cam has put up since 2015.

We will see. He has been the least protected QB in the league since his rookie year. The Pats effect will be on full display. Will it now be legal to hit Brady?!?!

I don't get the move. Cam and Belichick strikes me as an exceedingly poor personality fit. How is Cam going to respond when football isn't fun? Cam's game is the antithesis of what Belichick has said matters most in a QB. Quick processing, good decisions, and take care of the football. New England's QB room is straight up weird right now. Cam, Stidham, and Hoyer. One of these things is not like the other. If Brady couldn't sustain drives with the talent in New England given his decade in the system I don't see how Cam is going to do any better even IF Cam is somewhere near healthy. New England's offense has centered around the quick passing attack for years. Edelman's game is built on those rub routes and Brady knowing where he is at all times. His value plummets without Brady and that scheme. Cam played most of his career with trash WRs so maybe the Pats prize his experience in that area? The move strikes me as a team desperately trying to keep their competitive window open one more year rather than a team thinking about the future. The only way I see Cam as a good fit is IF he buys into the Patriot Way and IF he is healthy enough to bring his athleticism and physicality to that offense as a dual threat QB. Cam has ankle injuries and a nasty shoulder injury which has plagued him for 2 seasons now. If he isn't completely healed from both injuries I don't see this going well. Worth noting that Cam has 3 winning seasons in his 9 year career.

Dog Town is on Monroe Ave not far from where Gitsis used to be.

I believe Garbage Plate is trademarked by Tahou's. Dog Town and Charlie Riedel's have (had?) the best plates in town. Sticky Lip's BBQ garbage plate is very good as well.
