Edit: NFL removes Bass's kick from All-22 video
Jauronimo replied to Da webster guy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly. The top of the uprights sway easily in the wind so any camera or laser would not stay pointed 90 degrees to the ground. The easiest solution is to affix the camera or a friggin laser beam to the officials head who then stands directly under the upright and hope he doesn't blow over. -

I just wish she could have witnessed a Bills super bowl victory before she passed. RIP. -
Mea culpa...I was wrong about Trent Murphy...

I thought we didn't like his freckles. Personally, I can't stand them. -
He has said many times he doesn't settle into a game until he takes his first hit. I agree on the intent of the early called runs.

Allen's touch on screen passes impressed me as well. He has missed a number of swing passes and screens in his first two years. I think the game is slowing down for him, he's handling his excitement, and he is more confident in taking some speed off the ball now. Maybe not dealing with an electric crowd is helping him settle into games?

And Bass accounted for more than 10% of the missed kicks week 1. -
Lack of RB Production is limiting this Team

The Bills were ok in red zone efficiency last year. They were abysmal in red zone trips. If I were offensive coordinator of the Bills and I wanted to make RB touchdowns the goal of my offense for special reasons, my first priority would be to upgrade one of the worst passing attacks in the NFL so my RBs would have more chances to carry the ball in scoring position. This isn't rocket science. Look at the median distance of touchdown runs in the NFL. Its as you might guess, under 10 yards. So how do you score more rushing touchdowns? Get the ball inside the 10 or better yet, inside the 3 yard line. Well you can't do that when you're 26th in the league in getting the ball inside the 20 yard line on a per game basis. https://www.footballperspective.com/median-length-of-rushing-touchdown-2017/ -

More TD production from the RBs would be mean less goal line scores for Josh. That doesn't put more points on the board. If you take $20 out of your left pocket and deposit it in your right pocket you don't have $40. -

Holy specious reasoning, @Lieutenant Aldo Raine! Lets compare the #1 scoring offense last year to the Bills who were bottom feeders as evidence that we need better running backs. More trips to the red zone = more touchdowns. The Ravens had the most red zone possessions per game in 2019. Is anyone surprised that they punched in a bunch of rushing TDs? Its almost like...wait for it....the two are related! I've already demonstrated multiple times in this thread that the Bills running game was more than adequate. Even a cursory glance at the stats will show you our passing game sucked. You really want more rushing TDs??? Develop a real passing attack and move the ball between the 20s. -

So you admit that there is no camera angle which definitively proves the ball above the upright but you clearly saw the ball pass between the uprights by several feet? Who is uncertain on whether a kick can be reviewed? You can throw the challenge flag on an non-reviewable play and nothing happens. He missed the kick. Get a grip. -

A lot of the guys who fit that description were players who never found a regular role since they couldn't run between the tackles like Spiller and Reggie Bush. That one year of Chris Johnson was exciting. Peterson is the one of the very few in the current era I can think of that will run a safety over and then outrun a CB. -

More color. 2019 Bills were bottom 10 in red zone trips per game. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-attempts-per-game?date=2020-02-03 Buffalo was middle of the road in red zone TD efficiency in 2019 https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/red-zone-scoring-pct?date=2020-02-03 2019 Bills were 3rd in rushing first downs per game. https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/rushing-first-downs-per-game?date=2020-02-03 2019 Bills were 8th in rushing yards per game. https://www.espn.com/nfl/stats/team/_/season/2019/seasontype/2/table/rushing/sort/rushingYards/dir/desc 2019, Buffalo was 11th in rushing yards per attempt despite old man Gore https://www.teamrankings.com/nfl/stat/yards-per-rush-attempt?date=2020-02-03 In summary, Buffalo rushed the ball effectively, picked up first downs on the ground, and was efficient in yards per attempt but they scored few points and had few red zone trips relative to the rest of the league. More red zone visits = more rushing TDs. Why weren't the Bills getting to the red zone more and scoring more rushing TDs? Because the passing game sucked. End of discussion. RBs with breakaway speed are usually a luxury not a necessity. -

TDs scored is a silly measure of the effectiveness of our run game. Who cares how the ball crosses the goal line? Less rushing TDs is a factor of having the 10th worst scoring offense in the NFL. 8th most productive running game in terms of yards per game but 10th worst in overall scoring??? Sounds like the problem was NOT the running game. Yes, defenses are primarily concerned with stopping our running attack. Greggo stacked the box and did everything he could to contain Allen. -

Gostkowski blew it. He had a chance to make history and he completely choked by drilling it straight through the uprights. Loser. Fangio thinks he can roll them into next week like his data plan. -
