Jauronimo replied to Heitz's topic in Off the Wall
The Terminal List on Prime was decent. Its a little cheesy but it is entertaining. Black Bird on AppleTV is really good so far. Only 2 episodes are out. -
Hes more of a Poyer than a Hasek.

What season as a fan do you wish 2022 avenges for you?
Jauronimo replied to Another Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
Duck hunting season. I hope the Bills win the super bowl for all the ducks that gave their lives defending our precious ponds and lakes from those disgusting fish. -
July Movies: Thor, Minions, Nope, & Where the Crawdads Sing
Jauronimo replied to Mark Vader's topic in Off the Wall
Much like the latest Dr. Strange, Thor seemed very rushed and lacking focus. It was another pedestrian Marvel movie. All the Marvel content has been mediocre at best since Endgame. -
Hes up 220 lbs from his birth which puts him in the bottom quintile for American men. Its all relative.

I do. That was Boyst in a wig.

You're not kidding. Save percentage and GAA, the Sabres had no one in the top 32 last year by either metric. There are about a dozen teams at least that have two goalies demonstrably better than anyone we have on our roster.

My Man, Chandler81 RIP (Bobby, not me. Don’t get your hopes up)

I still don't know what this thread is about -
The only real solution is sensors covering the whole surface of the ball. But then you need to have a conduit from the ball, through the ball carriers elbows, knees, and rear to the surface to indicate when and where a player is down. Now I know what you're thinking, thats all fine and well but the players wear rubber sole shoes which are non-conductive so this elaborate system still doesn't indicate if a player has tapped their toes in field of play. Basically we need to rethink equipment, the playing surface and the ball entirely. I have developed some 3D renderings that I think show real promise. See below:

Fan ideas on how to improve the NFL -- Peter King's latest FMIA column
Jauronimo replied to Logic's topic in The Stadium Wall
That isn't an idea. Thats a summary of the current system. -
Watkins was plenty prepared to play early in his career. The offensive masterminds of Marrone and Can't Hackett decided that everything Sammy did in college should just be tossed out the window. Bubble screens were called "free yards" at Clemson and Sammy would rip those for 8 to 10 yards every down. I don't think Hackett called it once. Quick slants, screens, pitches, get the ball in your only playmakers hands. Instead they used him to go deep with a QB that wouldn't attempt that throw. Sammy's big problem was he didn't put in the work to get healthy and stay healthy. Pretty sure he was playing pickup basketball when reinjured his broken foot. Then the came the tendonitis issues and everything else that comes with bad rehab He is a gifted athlete but he admittedly coasted on his ability rather than maximize his potential. I don't know what that means but I'm pretty sure you aren't allowed to use that word.

If Levi is put out by a mid range goalie who will be in his mid 30s by the time Levi is ready to play then we may as well just roll with 6 skaters until hes ready to grace us with his presence.

We had just drafted EJ the year before. Sammy had the skills to play all over the field and be a matchup nightmare. He could burn defenses deep, and if they played off the ball he used to kill them with screen passes. Thats the kind of talent you want to pair with a young QB. Too bad Buffalo never did anything to get him the ball when he was the only legit NFL talent on the roster and he turned out to be a headcase.

What are the expectations for our three first rounders in terms of where they play the next few years? Ostlund said he expects to play another year or two in Sweden I believe. How soon until we see some of these guys in Rochester? EDIT: I am now familiar with the CHL-NHL agreement and see Savoie either has to dazzle at the prospects camp and make the jump to the NHL or hes back in the WHL until hes 20.

Brilliant.

That game is one of the few I can remember that physically affected me. A visceral feeling of utter disgust at the way they managed to give that one away despite Romo turning the ball over 6 times. Bills defense put up 2 scores and ST added a 100 yard kick off return for TD. Of course Trent's one turnover happens at the Dallas 10 when a field goal all but ices the game. Then ST gives up the onside kick. Jauron ices the kicker who misses his first attempt and of course he nails the second kick. That was a choke for the ages and epitomizes the inept offensive play we saw for a decade.

Anybody in Ottawa with a no trade list has severely questionable judgement. The pick would have been nice but I think we dodged a bullet.

This is a great summary. My memory of the Jauron years is that we were getting blown out on a weekly basis. Every time I go back and look at the scores I am surprised at how much closer the games were. Even down 7-10 points felt like an impossible task with how gutless Jauron's game management was. He was just trying to keep the game close but we were rarely a threat. Yet somehow the Bills were narrowly in the playoff picture in each of his first 3 seasons before collapsing down the stretch.
