  1. Its mocking Dick Jauron who is very white. You social justice types just cry about everything.
  2. You see a black hobbit and think theres no other answer than "going woke". Thats your world view. Go woke, go broke is a hollow headline meant for people who rarely think critically. See Gillette, Disney, Nike, etc. You've been duped.
  3. Maybe that was the best actor for the job and no one else thought the race of a fictional being was so critical to their portrayal of an elf or hobbit? Maybe you reach a broader audience when your cast isn't 100% white or the bad guys? Maybe one day I won't have to read the rants of grown men losing their ***** because black people are eating cheerios in a commercial or Captain America is black or a dwarf is black? Not holding my breath on the last one. (No one tell Bandito about Hamilton) Seeing everything through the lens of wokeness (nobody has actually used that term in years) is no way to go through life.
  4. I've found it entertaining. But I'm not some Tolkien nerd or someone who is losing their ***** about black hobbits and elves which seems to be where most of the criticism is coming from.
  5. I hope its just as boring as the LA game.
  6. 7:15 EST kickoff. But yes, it still wont be sunny.
  7. His kids can have three moms! Or more!
  8. This game goes one of two ways. Buffalo slows down Henry and scores TD --> lopsided victory. Buffalo has no answer for Henry, safeties and LBs cheat toward scrimmage and Tannehill starts working the pass game --> Josh has to single handedly win the game with some last minute heroics.
  9. 1. They tied. 2. What NFL offense is having their QB take 7 step drops in garbage time up 3 scores? Thats when you run the ball. 3. Howard caught 2 passes while wide open. He was literally uncovered. 4. OJ has lost a step, cannot stay healthy and will not be missed, 5. Bottom line, you know nothing about football.
  10. Beane sending Jerry and Howard down to Houston to hand Indy a week 1 tie is 4D chess. Jerry looked good. Glad to see hes having some success down here in front of his home city crowd.
  11. If you think great players, making great plays in clutch situations is sloppy then we will agree on nothing. Allen scrambling for his life on 4th down and throwing a strike to Gabe Davis for the go ahead TD is a magnificent play. Muffing a punt on your own 4 yard line to give Daniel Jones a free score is nothing. Mahomes improvising with Kelce based on the DBs outside leverage is a defensive mistake but still a great play. Making field goals to force overtime >>>> missing chip shots to force overtime. Punting with 20 seconds left on the play clock and giving time for your opponent to get in field goal range is a mistake born out of embarrassment for how poorly the game was played not a choke under the immense pressure of the situation. More than half of the week 1 slate could have been played to the Benny Hill theme song.
  12. You are really going to compare arguably the greatest football game ever played to the ***** fests we saw week 1? The games I pointed out fielded zero competent offenses. Quarters and halves were played with no scoring. They were boring, uninspiring affairs that were nearly unwatchable until the final minutes when both teams went full implosion. Glad you enjoyed your punt fest and missed kicks. You are unequivocally, categorically wrong on all accounts. Congratulations. EDIT: I can't get over how appalling stupid that comparison really was. Allen and Mahomes played two nearly perfect games leading to the most exciting game many people have ever witnessed. The two best, most exciting QBs in the game executing at the highest level. And you want to compare that to Trubisky and Burrow soiling themselves for 70 minutes? Or Matt Ryan in an epic punting duel with Davis Mills? That Jameis - Mariota 3 and out showdown? What is the matter with you?
  13. It was exciting and made for great entertainment for the disinterested but it was horrible execution, mind boggling coaching decisions, and poor football that created these exciting situations. If you were a fan of any of those teams it was like watching the 6-3 game mixed with 13 seconds and wide right in terms of heart ache. These games were a comedy of errors between two teams trying their hardest to hand a win to their opponent. In summary, bad football. What makes a good football game is two teams executing and making big plays culminating in last second heroics rather than two teams one-upping the others ineptitude until a tie seems like the only possible outcome.
  14. Week 1 of 2022 might the worst week of football ever played. Half of the slate were true trash classics. These are the types of wins and losses fanbases remember for decades. ATL and New Orleans - another epic ATL choke in one of the sloppiest games I have ever seen PIT and Cincinnatti - epicly bad clock management by cincinatti gifted the inept Stillers one last chance at a long field goal after both kickers missed game winning opportunities Seattle and Denver - Hackett runs the clock on himself and basically concedes the loss rather than give his team a chance to win Cleveland vs Carolina - 2 backup QBs battled it out in a punt fest punctuated with a few field goals Indy and Texans - Houston gave Indy every chance possible to win but Reich, a guy who ***** comebacks, couldn't engineer a way out of a steamy makeout session with his sister and the game ends tied. San Fran and Chicago - this game was played on a pond for some reason. Neither QB completed 50% of their passes. Titans and Giants - the Titans simply did everything they could to lose. Muffed punt, missing field goals, they would not be denied
  15. That had serious Nathan Peterman "child of god" vibes. You never want to go full Peterman.
  16. His teammates have doubted his authenticity for a while. Remember the "not black enough" commentary? Who says stuff like this? https://www.theroot.com/russell-wilson-says-god-asked-him-to-guide-ciara-as-the-1790886695 The good stuff starts at 4:30 mark.
  17. Hes learned a lot about diplomacy and public speaking since having his jaw broken by a teammate.
  18. The victims attorney basically said the civil suit was meant to draw attention and public pressure to motivate the DA and local police to take some kind of action. It doesn't appear to have worked yet.
  19. This is for you @YoloinOhio
  20. You limit Kelce by getting to Mahomes early and often rushing 4. That appears to be the only way to slow down KC's offense.
  21. Its crazy how good the coverage was in most of those situations and it still didnt matter. Allen and the offense executed. Besides the Gabe TD, it wasn't trickery or scheming guys open, or blown coverage. That was all Allen reading the safeties, throwing with anticipation, and our WRs making plays when given the opportunity.
  22. Annual.
  23. KC made it look effortless yesterday. I have no idea how Kelce is so consistently wide open. Seems like covering him would be a good idea but no one does. We certainly don't. Losing Tyreek likely eliminates the threat of the homerun play but stopping their normal offense will remain a major challenge. Got to generate a pass rush against Mahomes.
  24. I cannot believe I haven't witnessed this at the Ralph. Particularly the day I watched a few geniuses dunk a frozen turkey into an overloaded fryer. Oil was spilling over the top of the pot and wicking down into the flame as it ran all over the parking lot. Those idiots had no clue how close they were to starting a massive grease fire.
