  1. Now you three stay out of this, this has nothing to do with the Patriots* or any miracle performing linebacker who had a (steroid-induced) *cough, cough* stroke.
  2. No but rumor has it our own BlueFire may have been eating Crawdads and drinking cheap draft beer at the Boiling Pot in Austin this weekend... lord knows that'll get the ol' boiler workin overtime.
  3. I'm assuming at some point this week, LZ Granderson and Jamele "One-trick-pony" Hill will expose this racially motivated arrest for exactly that.
  4. Happy Birthday to the both you. In respect to recent event, please register your hand guns today!
  5. Well done Tennessee! I'm actually standing on my chair applauding your efforts!
  6. Happy Belated birthday to you both! Hope you had a great day!
  7. Fug. Can we get any more bad news this weekend?
  8. We're refinancing right now and using my VA loan for the second time. I'll keep you posted on how and who we end up working with.
  9. Somebody loves their "Johnny cakes."
  10. Do kids even "use" magazines anymore? Lord knows I've caught him not clearing the history on the computer a number of times, so I guess that replaces magazines now?
  11. I found it so disgusting, I promptly turned it over my 15-year-old son and asked him to throw it away before his mother saw it. (It is nice to see Danica Patrick is doing so much to lend credibility to her "I want to be treated as just anothe driver campaign.")
  12. Sorry Kota. Like Chandler said, she'll need support right now.
  13. Happy birthday to all three of you! Unlucky bastages!
  14. My God... unreal. My wife told me about it this morning and it wasn't until I was actually on my way to work that it really started to sink in what had happened. Thoughts and prayers...
  15. Happy Birthday to all. Dean, I'm hoping Giada stops by this afternoon to do some special "cooking" with you!
  16. I think anytime you encounter a potentially-life-threatening situation like this and you're still above ground, you've got to count your blessings. Of course that's awful easy for me to say since nothing like this has ever happened to me. As I've gotten older, I consider myself a "glass is half full" guy, so that's just me. Either way Steely, we're all pretty lucky that you pulled through all of this and are still with us.
  17. Jesus Steely, glad to hear everything is okay! Take care of youself and buy a lotto ticket this week, you can't beat that kind of "luck."
  18. No doubt! When I saw Joe's list, I thought "wow, bet he's about the same age as me..." I gotta believe, partly due to our generations short attention span, we spawned an armada of "one-hit-wonders." Bet that's the first time "armada" has been used on TBD in 2009!
  19. Actually, I'm saying it's in Laurel, but it just as easily could have been Beltsville, Burtonville or any of the other 14 "villes" around there. Remember I've had a beer or two since that evening in Maryland, so the exact location is fuzzy at best, but I'll never forget the food or the atmosphere, just felt like you were "at home." What you describe above BuffaloBill just might be why I remember that place in Maryland so well. It was me and three or four friends, a bucket of shells and lots of beers. Great times no doubt. This might not qualify as a "Meal" because of it's actually a brunch buffet, but Sunday Brunch at the Broadmoor in Colorado Springs is world-renowned for good reason and it's definitely something one should partake in if at all possible.
  20. I don't think I had a bad meal with I was in Seattle last summer. Of course being in a land-locked state almost any fresh seafood tasted absolutely awesome. My son and I made a pact to eat fresh seafood everyday and we managed to make it 7-straight days. Going to Disney next January for the Disney Marathon/post-holiday family get-together, I'll have to make sure to check that out. My dad is a big steak fanatic, so I'll be sure to drop that hint to him one day.
  21. Anchor Bar Wings. Seriously... there was the kind of hole-in-the-wall joint I went to in Laurel, MD probably 10 years ago (can't for the life of me remember the name of the place) that had the best same-day-fresh crab I've ever had. Nothing pretentious about the place, just and old house that was renovated into a bar/restaurant. Fresh crab and cold beer, without putting a lot of thought into it, this was probably one of my top-three meals of all time.
  22. HBD Exiled! Treat yourself to a Steak and Shake today! (a true midwestern interstate icon)
  23. I heard the same thing, but crayonz used hamsters? (Opps sorry Sammy!)
  24. I gotta admit, I like that song as well Johnny. Trashy Organ is the exact way to describe that sound. It's like that organ your aunt had in the back room or in her garage that you would wail on as a kid.
