  1. Shhhhhh! Nobody wants to talk about the 4000 pound elephant in the cathedral.
  2. I would have to say Lor, I agree with you... give the designer a weekly column. While she's not changing the journalism world one column inch at a time, she really puts the whole side-show in perspective. Regardless of what the Tonawanda News gets for this weeks rating (I'll post tomorrow in OT area *shameless plug) she gets a "good" this week.
  3. So he and the Tonawanda Snooze are on the list as "bad" then right?
  4. Give yourself a punch!
  5. Having friends over Sunday afternoon for ribs, chicken and brisket. Will start the smoker grill around midnight Saturday and monitor every 2 to 3 hours. Barbequing, beer, music and probably the annual whiffle ball game/drunkfest at the park down the street in the late afternoon.
  6. It goes quite well. Beerball is still a pain in the ass. He's always up to some sort of tomfoolery or hijinx. A whole new batch of nutbags arrived at TBD this winter. Some of them are quite thoughtful and contribute a lot to the discussions around here... the rest are like you and I. I appointed myself "Keeper of the Media Barometer" list. You know how from week to week or even day to day writers and sports announcers fall in and out of our good graces here, depending on what they write about the Bills, the city or the fans? Well I'm going to try to maintain a list that shows where everyone fell during the week. So that's it. It's been a busy spring as you can see. Pip-pip and cheerio to you!
  7. You can say on TBD? Or is it just because you've been in exile for so long they give you a little slack?
  8. This is mostly rhetorical isn't isn't it Cheffy? If not, it looks like David Shore writes a majority of the shows. Here's what he's done in Hollywood. http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0794914/
  9. Keep it up, missy and you won't like when you end up on "The List." * * Which will be posted each Friday in the OT section of TBD, with that week's latest updates and status changes. Check local listings for time and date in your area.
  10. Dunkirk Disturber has been added to "The List" as bad. C'mon they share the same bed as the Post Urinal... the sales staff didn't sell enough space, so someone had to rattle off a few column inches... sowhatwhocares?
  11. Does he still hate his baby's momma and say really nasty things about her? He's so callow.
  12. Done. Oh by the way, you also made the list. We gave you a pass since you are one of the regulars here, but if we were to catch wind of you degrading or possibly expressing a negative opinion about the team, the city, its fans or the region, we'll waste very little time downgrading YOU to bad as well.
  13. Adding him to the media barometer list as a "bad" correct?
  14. Pardon me, allow me to add Mort to the list as well. Again Mea Culpa...
  15. Be careful now Dean, Leonidas is going to come over her and castigate you for taking this topic into the moral arena!
  16. These are actually MY thoughts, I'm merely the keeper of the list. The list is compiled on a weekly basis, and factors in what each writer said about the Bills. If a writer says something negative (whether it's accurate or not) he/she is immediately labeled in RED and given "bad" status. If he/she writes something glowing or wonderful about the Bills, then they get the lucky GREEN stamp and "good" status. This isn't an exact science, but most of you are familiar with how sensitive we are to the media's perception of the Bills AND their level of "respect" (or lack there of). This is a way for us to keep track of who we are supposed to like and dislike each week. Do "we" like him right now? It's hard to keep track sometimes? Let me know Dean and I'll add him to the list. So for now we put him down as "GOOD?" Consider it done, Rubes.
  17. Soooo, should I put Skip in the "bad" column I'm compiling? The official TBD media status barometer: ESPN - bad Bill Simmons - eternally bad (nobody that I know of likes this douchenozzle) Mel Kiper - good Yahoo Sports - bad Todd McShay - good Don Banks - was bad, but is now good Jim Rome - good (I think, I can't remember, I heard him being spoke of fondly recently) Gregg Easterbrook - good because he has relatives in this area I think? Chris Berman - good (but once he announces someone other than the Bills making the Super Bowl, that will change) Peter King - bad unless he writes something nice about Jim Kelly Colin Cowherd - bad Channel 7 News - good because they pandered to TO's VH1 show
  18. WILLLLLLLLLMAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!! (yep first dry heave of the day...) Now, if you all will excuse me, I've got some Cher CDs to listen to.
  19. They don't rip the tags off furniture either. Very honorable men and women. I strive to be like them each and every day. And anyone who thinks this whole season is going to be full of frivolity and contentment, is in for a rude awakening somewhere between Halloween and Thankgiving, I'm afraid.
  20. I really like it, particularly for the reasons Lori mentioned and I also liked his work leading up to and following the draft.
  21. Well, well, well look who finally showed up!! Sketch must have escaped from Kathy Bates house again!
  22. I'll add John Clayton to the master list as a definite "good" for now then?
  23. Fair enough... in all future references I'll be sure to make Mr. Banks... YELLOW
  24. Here Mike, I've been keeping a tally on things (this is all post 2009 draft) for your score keeping needs: ESPN - bad Bill Simmons - eternally bad (nobody that I know of likes this douchenozzle) Mel Kiper - good Yahoo Sports - bad Todd McShay - good Don Banks - was bad, but is now good Jim Rome - good (I think, I can't remember, I heard him being spoke of fondly recently) Gregg Easterbrook - good because he has relatives in this area I think? Chris Berman - good (but once he announces someone other than the Bills making the Super Bowl, that will change) Peter King - bad unless he writes something nice about Jim Kelly Colin Cowherd - bad
  25. Down in Chi-tak-wa and Cat-a-ragus county it wasn't all that uncommon for the amish kids to show up at some of the field or state land parties we used to have. Those boys loved their beer, but man in the dog days of summer... whew you could smell 'em before you could see em... bath night must have been optional for them in the summer.
