  1. WEO should be all over you for that comment, just about anytime now. I caught hell for saying something about "the apostle" a while back. Well at least the Patriots* can have water on the sideline again this year without worry of him walking near it and turning it into wine! If this is true and he's gone, tis a great day!
  2. Glad this Bataan death march of a hold out is over. So obviously Poz "vouching" for him had something to do with this? "Vouching is good! We need more of it to win on Sunday." (in honor of LSI)
  3. Or just shiv the mofos and take their car! I can vouch for that method (if we're still on the "vouching" kick from earlier this week... or is the word "vouch" sooooo Tuesday?)
  4. aaaaaaaaaannnnnnnnd in the next hour to hour and a half someone is going come on this topic and skewer you for: A: saying something mean-spirited about the deceased or B: being a pompous jerk for somehow thinking you are above her (followed by the "I would love to see all the supermodels you date." line) Just so you know it's coming is all I'm saying...
  5. Must be the other neighborhood kids already saturated the market with Kool-aid stands? WHAT?
  6. You're going to have to have the windows up on the car through a lot of parts of the "Safari" so make sure you don't eat any Johnny's or AJs that day! I agree with what Exiled said, if you have access to an older car, take that versus something new!
  7. Thread Jack Alert: I know exactly what you mean, we had a thread a few months back, where I kind of said the same thing. What I did in the military didn't have any direct impact on the greater mission. When I'm at a ballgame or something and they ask all the vets to stand up and be recognized, I normally don't stand up. Not out of shame or embarrassment, but I did what I did, I served my 8 years and I guess I don't really want to draw attention to myself. It was a job and a commitment, but I don't expect or need any ovation for it.
  8. About all I watch anymore (and I'm not trying to be high-brow or anything) is Nat Geo, Discover, History, MLB Network and whatever local baseball coverage I can get. I honestly can't tell you the last time there was a show on the big four channels that I watched or even had a show, other than the Sopranos that I had to watch each week. I'm not trashing people who do watch certain shows religiously or like the stuff that is on now, it's just not for me and I just don't "get" a lot of it and it's not my thing.
  9. If he's not verrrrry careful, he'll be dead by next Friday.
  10. FWIW, I'm 38 (and dreadfully peeking around the corner towards 40). I thought my dad knew EVERY single highway department flagman in Western New York when I was a kid. Now, I do the same thing. My son's Fairlane has a carburetor, I actually was shocked I remembered how to work on one. We make the aforementioned son write thank you notes as well. When I was deployed to Saudi Arabia, my Grandma (RIP) would send me letters all the time... since she passed last month those have taken a special place in my heart. We actually still get milk delivered (it costs more, but the milk just tastes better). "CAR! "GAME ON!" Man the memories that brings back. One time we got the wise idea to put up a highway barricade to "make" cars turn on a side street rather than interupt our game... yeah, the purple ties came and gave us a rahter lengthy lecture about that stunt.
  11. Who's going to vouch for THAT? No of course not! I believe he's back in WNY trying to broker a peace agreement between Maybin's agent and the Bills... it's going to be along football season. Oh yeah and he's bringing a shipment of Candy Corn up to OP for Derek Fine.
  12. They are obviously going for the "Sheriff John Bunell" theme when they produce these PSAs: "Do you know this sound? *cell door shutting* It's the sound of a cell door slamming shut after you've been busted for drinking and driving."
  13. Hear: (piggy-backing on Chef's busy signal) A real phone ring Van Miller misidentifying a Bills player I'm (insert name) and I approved this message (thankfully) popping and scratching from playing a real vinyl record Cash register sounds (like the ones at the beginning of Pink Floyd's "money") See: Kids playing wiffleball/stickball Persimmon wood drivers Baseball players NOT wearing batting gloves People driving in the right-hand lane (may be Colorado specific) Longneck glass soda bottles (the old "no deposit no return" bottles) People wearing their pants above their hips Regular looking athletic shoes
  14. I've thought the same thing Ink! You start scanning your mirrors checking the blind spots, wondering what the hell is going on and then all of sudden you realize it's a stupid commercial for Earl Shibe or a PSA for highway safety patrols are CRACKING DOWN on whatever the "offense dujour" is.
  15. I can vouch for that.... I can vouch for that too! I can't vouch for that... no can do... I can't vouch for that, can't vouch for that, can't vouch for that! Watch it with the big words like "community" would ya? Beerball is a Silver Creeker and those type of words confuse and intimidate him!
  16. If you were to simply find a quarry or cement plant somewhere, you could do your own mining for crystals like the fine folks from North Tonawanda! Really, what harm can come from that?
  17. Jeez why are you directing that at Beerball and Steely Dan?
  18. Egads man!!! What is that?
  19. I think he's closing in on NASCAR racer Mark Martin territory right now. If he passes him, he'll be in second place by himself taking dead aim at Sugar Ray!
  20. So are you saying he ISN'T blue collar anymore? Does this mean, I'm going to have to edit my signature block now?
  21. A phrase you never thought you would read post-1995 isn't it?
  22. I know right? And that's from a poster who's obviously been here awhile and seemingly would have realized that crayonz is up to his usual antics?
  23. Where How on earth do you FIND this stuff?!?!?
  24. Somehow I bet "vouch" "vouching" "vouched for" are going to be the buzzwords around TBD this season... Chroise is so 2008. (Dean please see my post and link in the Brett Favre thread... that's just for you and your outstanding musical taste)
  25. Shiv the vouching MOFO?
