Yeah, hand it off! Honestly what Hamdan said is dead on... the harder you grip the worst your throw. Just like death-gripping a golf club. Tightness equals ineffectiveness. Stepping into your throw more than you would with a dry ball helps get a wet ball to it's target for effectively. This might not be popular, but become "Capt. Checkdown" and try to minimize throws OVER 10 or 15 yard unless necessary. The farther he's got to throw it, instinctively the tighter he'll want to grip it. If all else fails... hand it off or run the option!

Glad I didn't offer my "assistance." My HS coach used to say when you pass the ball, three things can happen and two of 'em are bad... actually when "Bullpen" is quarterbacking all THREE are bad. So we ran a lot of option football during my tenure at the helm. Glad to hear others had some good advice Simon... all my best to your son for the remaining season. I'll stick to giving baseball advice I guess....

I read Michael Lewis's book "Blind Side" not too long ago. Really interesting back story about the increased importance on LT's in the NFL. The main story about Michael Oher left me with a lot of questions and sadly feeling somewhat cynical about the whole adopted family situation. Currently finishing up A Jeff Shaara book called "The Steel Wave" about WWII.

The myopic Denver fans out here are going through the same mental process we went through last year with the Bills. Last night was the first time I've seen this year's version of the opening theme with her. That being said, I found myself quite speechless for more than a couple minutes. Tim McGraw is one lucky SOB I'll say that much. The rest of the pregams show is just background noise for me while I digest another Buffalo debacle.

I'm on record as saying I didn't like the signing from the get-go, but I will admit, he's taken the moral high-ground and being a good soldier and not letting the media goad him into saying something that will draw the headlines. Good for him! Sure he's giving milquetoast answers, but he's got reason to. 1. he needs to look to the future and what team will sign him next year. 2. he gains nothing by ranting and raving about an offensive game plan that is about as diverse as your average Section VI HS team. 3. if he gives the media what they want he gets nothing but "typical TO" stories written about him 4. It's a long arduous season and face it, he's probably here for the duration so what does he gain by blowing up the lockeroom in week three? 5. He can get his frustration out once he leaves here
