Driving Pet Peeves - Mine Deals With Changing Lanes
Bullpen replied to Steely Dan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Don't visit Colorado then. I swear the law states "drive left, pass right" in this state. Not using turn signals is a huge peeve as well as people who become mesmerized my flashing lights OF ANY COLOR NO MATTER WHICH SIDE OF THE INTERSTATE THEY ARE ON and immediately slow down to 10 miles UNDER the speed limit!!!! Oh yeah and clowns... I passed a person with clown makeup on while driving the other day... freaked me out so bad I almost ran over a possum!! -

Driving Pet Peeves - Mine Deals With Changing Lanes

Yeah I understand your frustration Steely, but where I'm trying to get to is MUCH more important than where you are trying to get AND my time is much more valuable than yours. -
Oh those wacky Catholic college kids...

They probably ate too many honey-mustard chicken wings. -

And what's worse keg... some of them are having sex as well! End of days my friends, end of days. -
You're in good company then I guess. Guilty as charged, AJ. Great... now you've mentioned his name. It'll only be matter of moments before he shows up in this thread and starts "gooning it up." Each day when he logs in to TBD, he does a search for his name and goes to those threads and spreads his "filth" around.

NYC police officer kills Times Square panhandler
Bullpen replied to bartshan-83's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I stayed in that same Marriott last March as part of conference I was "supposed" to be attending and like BuffaloBill said, with all the people down there, it's amazing no one else was injured. One thing that struck me when I was there, was how many people stopped me and asked for directions, like I was from there or something. I asked a bartender about it and he said, if you walk around without gawking at everything and kind of move with a purpose, people assume you're from there. Looking back on it, everywhere I went, I was pretty much by myself as I didn't feel like hanging around with my boss, in hindsight, that might not have been the best idea. BTW, I bought an awesome Rolex from a guy down there for only $35.00!!! Damn fool must not have known how much those things REALLY go for! The only thing that sucks is every three or four days, I have to update the time again. -
Well Ray, AJ, you and I are certainly wearing our geek tags with pride today aren't we?

I got a bad feelling about this... .

One of the AM stations out of Denver used to run his show in the evenings. I used to LOVE when he would get callers who fell for his "schtick" and would be outraged. Classic stuff that really demonstrated the dumbing down of America. I liked how he would switch characters so quickly you almost wondered if there really was two people in the studio.

... it's a space station.

Well make up your damn mind!!!! Real or fake? Your apostles need to know!

Favorite "The Office" Character and Episode
Bullpen replied to Steely Dan's topic in Off the Wall Archives
I had to vote for Kevin for male characters. He had a line I saw last night on a rerun (paraphrasing here): "I kind of have experience in TV commercials.... when I was a kid, they used to call me Kool Aid Man." Set a new "at home" record for beer spitting distance when he said that. For the women, I voted for Karen . Yes, I approve of her... she too would get "the treatment." -
If we don't get a "big name" then it's like Bill Murray in Groundhog Day or The Talking Heads lyric... "Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was... Same as it ever was." *Making choping motion across left forearm with right hand* For those who don't get the reference, forward to the 3:50 mark: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=-io-kZKl_BI

Is it still considered "dough" if it's cooked? When does the magical transformation happen when it stops being "dough" and becomes an actual "cookie?"

Could you maybe post this in a couple more forums? The main one and off topic just isn't enough. Take it over to the baseball and PPP boards make sure you get 100% saturation on this...

Dick Jauron photoshopped out of team photo?
Bullpen replied to joshfitz's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Believe me pardner, if I can find a bag of candy corn in the sale bin at Walgreens this weekend, THAT'S exactly what you are getting for Christmas this year. After seeing Mrs Nike take a club to that caddy (not Steve Williams unfortunately), I put my clubs in our attic and gave the ladder to friend to hold onto, should I ever draw the ire of Mrs. Bullpen. -

If you look between Steve Johnson's and Fitz's elbows, you can see what appears to be the pant leg/cuff of a pair of khaki's. I'm surprised Beerball didn't catch this, but it appears Derek Fine is holding a bag of candy corns in the photo AND Pozluszny has a pack of smokes rolled up in his sleeve. -
The Patriots never cease to amaze me

You come to a Bills fan website to post THAT? I would love for that to happen. Getting to see the NE sideline with that "WTF?" look on their collective faces was worth staying up for. -
I realize that John, but like I said, in the day and age of "immediate gratification" and "give us dirty laundry" everyone is out to be the first to say "I broke the news first" so they'll throw anything at the wall and see what sticks and whatever does stick, they say, "You heard it here first." Swing at enough fast balls and sooner or later, they'll connect and brand themselves an "NFL insider." Deadspin has become a characture of itself and is now more of a "humorous" website for me. I take it all with a grain of salt. It's like the MAD magazine of sports. PFT is quickly become the "Cracked" magazine of football news. BTW, your avatar (and that kid) is freaking me out... how 'bout an "Awesome Pup" avatar instead?

Agree 100% Shrade! Either suspension or a pillow case full of soda cans to the head might do the trick.

Welcome to the internet. If you have a keyboard and a slight pulse, you can post whatever you think and attribute it to "inside sources" and someone will bite. In other words... nothing to see here folks, let's move along.

Yes, I approve of her too... she would also be the proud recipient of "the treatment."
