  1. Nice double play Tom, Joe Mistretta and Chris Brink would be proud!
  2. I might have a shotgun or two. Because big brother is monitoring Al Gore's Internet and is trying to take away all our firearms, I'll be as vague as possible.
  3. Swedes and guineas?
  4. And how was the Sears?
  5. And get them at Dominos or Pizza Hut! They have the best wings in WNY you know?
  6. Drew Magery is hilarious. I read his mailbag every Tuesday on Deadspin and it just kills me. It's not MY list slapnuts! I just maintain the list based on what the denizens of TBD think about particular posters. We're all such a rational and levelheaded bunch, I just keep the list in order so the FNGs know who "we" like and who "we" hate. We've been real busy at work, so that's kept me away (I'll just leave it at that.) Sometimes people take themselves too seriously around here.
  7. Thanks KD, I'll take your suggestions under advisement. However, we're going to have to find something else to use besides Yellow... my feeble 39 year old eyes simply can't read that. Although, imagine that old sucker Beerball and HIS clunky old eyes trying to read that!
  8. As Oh-fish-all keeper of the media barameter for TBD, I need to post this list, so I can update the current standing of various media outlets and talking heads. Don't scoff, this is an important task I've taken on since 2008. Please for you to add any new names and their standing and I will compile it into the master list I maintain in a secret vault at Scorchy's Dash Inn in sunny Jamestown, NY. Here's what I had as of Feb 13, 2010. (Peter King's status is updated) ESPN - bad Bill Simmons - eternally bad (nobody that I know of likes this douchenozzle) Mel Kiper - good CBS Sports - bad see Pete Prisco towards bottom of list Yahoo Sports - bad (I forget the offense, but it's loathsome) Mort - bad (he'll never get out of this category... everyone here hates him) Todd McShay - good Don Banks - was bad, but was good in 2009 and now he picked the Bills for No. 31, so we hates that rabbit! Jim Rome - good (I think, I can't remember, I heard him being spoke of fondly recently) Gregg Easterbrook - good because he has relatives in this area I think? Chris Berman - good (but once he announces someone other than the Bills making the Super Bowl, that will change) Peter King - bad unless he writes something nice about Jim Kelly Colin Cowherd - bad (I forget why, but I know we don't like him right now) Skip Bayless - bad (thought we should pick up Vick) Tim Graham (waiting for exit poll numbers... this statement is particularly interesting given the developments this spring) John Clayton - good (people dig his pony tail) Gene Wojciechowski - bad Lori - since she's one of our regulars here, she gets a pass, but only as long as she praises the Bills The Dunkirk Disturber - bad The Tonawanda Snooze - bad both these guys and the Disturber wrote unflattering op-eds about Terrell Owens Pete Prisco - bad, thought in 2009 we would be lucky to make 7-9 and actually would end up 31st overall The Sporting News - good, we like them because they said the Bills were 1 of 5 teams ready to crash the playoff party Marshall Faulk - bad he picked us to go 7-9 for the 4th year in a row in 2009 ('Joe In Macungie' really hates this sucker) Mike Florio - bad, his list is waaaaay too long to put here
  9. No he's not. ... He is. Hard to refute that evidence.
  10. Whoops, sorry dude, I was mistaken. http://maps.google.com/maps?hl=xx-elmer&am...ved=0CCAQtgMwAA
  11. I hear they have a really nice Sears Department Store in Camillus.
  12. I figured that was coming, so I refrained from using the word "mutt."
  13. Yes, I have no shame, but she's got to get rid of the dog first.
  14. Nice catch Gringo. I saw that and thought the same thing, but was too lazy to go look it up to be sure.
  15. I think I'll take Buffalotone words to heart after reading this topic. "Eating Ribeye and drinking beer helps defeat the terrorists." It's my patriotic duty to grill some up tonight I guess!
  16. I thought that was scrapple? Wait are you saying Spam IS scrapple?
  17. I don't believe so but Chet is in there, they're almost the same characters.
  18. I order them online from a place called MadMikes. They're really good. Not "set your mouth on fire" hot (if you ask my son and me, but my wife begs to differ), but good flavor especially when smoked with low heat. Linkeroo: http://www.madmikesstore.com/
  19. smoked beef brisket (beerbawl's recipe) jalapeno hot links Cole slaw (dad's recipe) baked beans (make it up as I go along) Beer (Sam Adams Shiner Bock's recipe)
  20. I always enjoyed games that Paul did. When he had a heart attack at Lakeshore in the late 80s, my cousin was working as a waitress there. She he was alway very friendly to the staff, had no airs about him and was a fairly generous tipper. I like listening to him broadcast games. I remember him doing a KC Chiefs game one time and they had a D-lineman named Sims who could NOT stay on sides if his life depended on it. I mean he could have known the snap count and he still would have jumped off sides. After about his third or fourth infraction in the first half, Paul in a totally disgusted tone says "Awwwwwwww Sims!!!" as if he's a coach or something. My son and I both laughed pretty good at that one and to this day when someone is having a case of the "jumpsies" one of will let out a "awwwww Sims."
  21. Probably not.
  22. Fruita's got nothing but "Children of the Corn" type kids. Creepy freakin moonies!
  23. Geez, I break out my Sesame Street Counter costume, get lost in Fruita, try to ask a passerby for directions and now all of a sudden I'm labled a "vampire" and blamed for causing accidents? Guess I'll put the costume away until halloween. Sheesh!
  24. And the last of the reviews for the "Clash of the Titans" remake are coming in...
  25. WINNER!!!! Happy Birthday Pooj! Enjoy whatever plans you have for the day!
