Jim Kelly: 'The U is going to be back' under Mark Richt
Bullpen replied to Saxum's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Exactly, I just can't muster the same amount of vitriol for Alabama as I can for Miami. And there were so many reasons to hate them to begin with. Nobody wore the black hat better than the 80s and 90s 'Canes. It's interesting now to go back and look at the narrative painted for the PSU/Miami Fiesta Bowl. The squeaky clean, unblemished, do it the right way Lions versus the thuggy, urban, bad guy Hurricanes. Just goes to demonstrate the cliche' "You think you know, but you have no idea." I wouldn't mind seeing them at least make a ripple in the NCAA football waters, I just don't want them winning championships again and all of the "die-hard" fans coming out of the woodwork donning their 2LiveCrew inspired Canes gear talking about, "I've been here the whole time." -
Like the guy said in Harlem Night, "Just because your it's your name, doesn't mean you have to sell it."

Happy Birthday Tom. I just wish you were more active on the board and open with you opinions about things! Have a great day though, seriously.

Am I just as terrible a person as you because I laughed at this?

RIP Col. Cherry. "Here's a toast to the host Of those who love the vastness of the sky, To a friend we send a message of his brother men who fly. We drink to those who gave their all of old Then down we roar to score the rainbow's pot of gold. A toast to the host of men we boast, the U.S. Air Force!" -
Appropriate: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=b7SjW0vFCiI I feel like it is a really unhealthy burden he's shouldering and like is mentioned in the article by Talley, he needs to unburden himself some how. I can't explain why, but the story of the championship rings really broke my heart for whatever reason. Sure was a lot of dust in the office this morning...

Best finish since Harvick and Mark Martin, which was another in a long line of "thisclose" losses for a team, athlete, driver that I like. The competition caution clock business they're testing in the NCWTS needs to fail at an epic level so they don't move it up to the big leagues.

The US Army is aiming to put Papa John's out of business

Having had a few MREs in my day, I can honestly say, they're going to have to double the amount of Tabasco sauce they include in those kits. The chicken and rice and spaghetti were the only things remotely passable (pun intended) back when I was eating MREs. -
In his defense, and I can't believe I'm defending that shlub, Silver Creek broads we're pretty damn tough. They s*** housed a couple of our girls in basketball. Now that's a good one! The knee shots she was throwing were pretty brutal. He's gonna be in the concussion protocol this week.

Jack, you gotta quit finding and posting these videos, my productivity on Fridays is already horrible with out compelling watching like that!

Yes, but if we're playing she's going to have give a couple strokes. *I'll see myself out... again*

Still gives me chills. I remember going to the bar with a group of friends to watch the race. After the race was over, we all went to someone's house to meet up with our wives, when my wife's cell phone rang and it was a friend of mine back on the east coast telling me that Earnhardt had died. Immediately switched over to ESPN to get as much info as possible. The rest of the get together that afternoon was pretty surreal. Good find Jack!

I have an upright (bullet type) smoker that runs on charcoal This one: https://www.forfoodsmokers.co.uk/acatalog/proq-excel-20-premier-food-smoker.html Also have Texas charcoal grill with a side smoker box similar to this: http://www.shopladder.com/heavy-duty-offset-charcoal-and-wood-smoker-and-grill-p631339.htm?utm_medium=ppc&utm_source=google-shopladder.com&utm_term=631339&utm_content=PLA-631339 I'm not resistant to technology or think automated, electic controlled pellet smokers are for "cheaters." For me, I actually enjoy the time invested in it (and because it gets me out of other obligations like socializing with the inlaws and such). With the upright I can load it up and leave it be for at least two and sometimes four hours at a time without having to babysit the fire. All that being said, this little devil is really handy for either cold smoking cheeses or almonds, as well as adding a little extra smoke flavor to more dense meats. https://www.amazenproducts.com/ProductDetails.asp?ProductCode=AMNTS I don't think there's really a right or wrong way to smoke foods, it all depends on your needs and how much of your day/evening/weekend you want to commit to the hobby. For me, a six pack of Shiner Bock, some SRV playing in the background and a few hours on my deck with my smoker is a great Saturday afternoon. Enjoy the window shopping experience and weigh the pros and cons of each.

THIS ^^^^^^^ Callling my dad on the phone and him using his trademark, "Hello there" greeting. Hearing the roar of a crowd from a distant hole at a PGA golf tournament. Sure I'm missing something exciting, but the sound carrying through the trees is still pretty damn cool. The throaty sound of late 60s and early 70s muscle cars. Niagara Falls -
Definitely going to see this. I can remember my dad taking a friend and I to see this (we were Jr High age) and we loved it. I can imagine my dad, growing up in the 50s, probably thinking, 'what in the actual hell am I watching?" Every once in awhile, quotes and references from this movie still creep into my conversations: Telling people to be sure to see the basement of the Alamo if they're visiting San Antonio "I'm a loner Dottie... A rebel." "I'm trrrrrying to use the phoooooone!!!" "Good morning Mr. Breakfast!!!" (Mrs. Bullpen rolls her eyes every single time.)

All the tell-tale signs are there that this dude is a douche-nozzle (skinny jeans, bro-cut, thinking his "joke" was funnier than it was). That being said, I'm smelling fake with this one. I feel like her reaction, if it was real, would have been worse for him.

Wooden bat connecting with a baseball during batting practice. -
I'm not so sure, I get the strong scent of crazy with this one... and not crazy in a "gee that was fun, can we play with mayhem again" kinda a way. More like the crazy that Tom described. That smirk is too Bruce Willis-esque for me as well.
