  1. Do you care to venture a guess as to who that might be?
  2. Keep in mind that we have a different crew of scouts and different scouting department management. You sound as if there have never been any good players to come out of Penn St. I am not pimping Penn St. I am just trying to obtain a logical reason fopr not drafting players from a certain school based solely on the fact that they played at that school. The list of Nittany Lions having solid NFL careers is pretty long. I would not place all of the blame for the lack of success on the players we drafted from there, but also our scouts and coaches. Our drafting history has not been the best in the league.
  3. 1. If you had paid attention, you would have noticed I said Pittsburg State, not Pittsburgh State. Pittsburg State is located in Pittsburg, Kansas. 2. So, because two guys were not properly coached and/or utilized, that the scouting department's fault?
  4. I don't know why you bring up Brian Moorman since he attended Pittsburg State. At any rate, could you please provide a logical reason to exclude anybody from the team based on where they matriculated?
  5. No, it did not make us a better team for 2011, but let me ask you thjis: Would he have made us a better team for the 2011 season? I don't think he would have, and for the amount of money he was being paid, that's what would have been expected.
  6. I would not complain about that, but I wouldn't mind seeing one big name pass rusher.
  7. He did not catch the pass. If he had caught the pass, the offical would have raised his arms to signal a touchdown, and Baltimore would be going to the Super Bowl. Dude, you need to seriously chill. If you had read my post, you would have seen that I led off with, "According to all the naysyaers on this board," which should have given you a clue that I do not castegorize myself as one of those naysayers. I am happy with the trade, and, as long as Buddy does something decent with that 4th-round pick, will continue to be happy with that trade. I do not hold any ill will towards Evans. I just think that hius time in Buffalo was over, and I'm happy we got something in return for him.
  8. OK, I'll go along with that. McKenzie was just the first guy to come to mind.
  9. Who is?
  10. To hear all the naysayers on this board, the Evans trade was the worst thing we've ever done. Judging by what little playing time he had due to injuries, I'm not surprised he didn't catch that pass.
  11. You asked for one decent player from Penn State, and I gave you one. The criterion was satisfied.
  12. Kareem McKenzie, RT, Giants.
  13. Good. I think that him coaching in the NFL would be a joke.
  14. Buddy stated he would be aggressive in free agency...I'll believe it when I see it, though.
  15. How do you know what his work ethic is like?
  16. That's what the off season is for. It is said that players make their biggest leap between their first and second years. We'll see.
  17. I say it does, too. Not only in who we draft, but also how many we keep at each position next year.
  18. I don't envy him and his rehab.
  19. I wouldn't be surpirised if they were there before, but if there was no problem, how would they know to check it out?
  20. Even if we go to a 4-3? He needed hep? Not a shocker since he was a rookie 4th rounder. Remember Howard Ballard? 11th-rounder out of Alabama A&M? Tuyrned out to be pretty decent. I think you assume Hairston has peaked and cannot develop any more.
  21. So you choose to belittle a guy who has bone spurs fraying his Achilles. That's a little more than a boo-boo.
  22. Buddy is not a big trader.
  23. It's certainly possible, but which Giants team will show up?
  24. How many draft-day trades have we had since Buddy took over as GM? I really think it won't happen.
