  1. We shouldn't. There are more need to fill on defense than there are on offense, and we need all the draft picks we can get.
  2. It would be awesome, but let's snap back to reality--cap space reality.
  3. I almost hope he doesn't, for the sake of his own physical well-being.
  4. There were some great returns this year, though. Much of it has to do with how much of a gambler the return guy is.
  5. I wouldn't be surprised if Peyton never makes it back to the Super Bowl.
  6. Does it matter so much where they are ranked, or how they play in the conference championship games?
  7. Alex smith palyed well enough to get them to the NFC Championship game, and he's considerably younger than Peyton. No way Manning goes to SF.
  8. That all depends on where are offense stalls.
  9. Our own history should suggest that defense is more important. Our 274-lb NT got taken advantage of in 4 Super Bowls.
  10. Isn't the official stat punts within the 20-yard line?
  11. Not even Devon Still, who is supposed to be on of the top DTs?
  12. I was watching NFL Live at the gym this afternoon. They were guessing that the $28M dollar bonus Peyton is supposed to get will go to the defense.
  13. And a lot of those kicks came in some nasty weather.
  14. Freeney, OK. Mathis is 6-2, 245. We don't need a Tampa-2 type.
  15. Not even in speed? Then why list them as separate positions?
  16. Do you care to venture a guess as to who that might be?
  17. Keep in mind that we have a different crew of scouts and different scouting department management. You sound as if there have never been any good players to come out of Penn St. I am not pimping Penn St. I am just trying to obtain a logical reason fopr not drafting players from a certain school based solely on the fact that they played at that school. The list of Nittany Lions having solid NFL careers is pretty long. I would not place all of the blame for the lack of success on the players we drafted from there, but also our scouts and coaches. Our drafting history has not been the best in the league.
  18. 1. If you had paid attention, you would have noticed I said Pittsburg State, not Pittsburgh State. Pittsburg State is located in Pittsburg, Kansas. 2. So, because two guys were not properly coached and/or utilized, that the scouting department's fault?
  19. I don't know why you bring up Brian Moorman since he attended Pittsburg State. At any rate, could you please provide a logical reason to exclude anybody from the team based on where they matriculated?
  20. No, it did not make us a better team for 2011, but let me ask you thjis: Would he have made us a better team for the 2011 season? I don't think he would have, and for the amount of money he was being paid, that's what would have been expected.
