  1. For those of you that stoop to drinking blends.
  2. Just a special teamer. Not a huge deal.
  3. I never said Pears was a dominant RT. I'm also looking at this from a salary standpoint. We need a DE, a SLB, a WR, and maybe a TE if we don't re-sign Chandler. We need to tender Urbik and Rinehart. We need to resign Scott. Jackson needs a contract extension. Johnson needs a new contract. With all these needs, a dominant tackle in FA is probably out of the question. So, let's turn to the draft. Chan Gailey likes bigger, stronger offensive lineman. Do Reiff and Martin fit that bill?
  4. Isn't that what coaching is for? Now, I have seen a number of mock drafts having the Bills taking a OT in round 1. I also remember Chan Gailey stating we need to get bigger and stronger in the OL. Those highly ranked tackles don't exactly fit that description.
  5. I know I'll catch a lot of flack for this, but I will politely disagree. I do believe Hairston is the left tackle of the future. Hairston's detractors will point out his struggles against higher-caliber players and the fact that he was given a lot of help. Fine. I think people forget that he was a rookie, and a 4th-rounder at that. We all have seen rookie 1st-rounders struggle. It is very rare for a rookie lineman to dominate. Also, players usually make their greatest improvements between their first and seconmd years. I say give him his chance, and, after next year, he has not improved as much as he should, then we go after another starter.
  6. Signing a top-tier free agent may impact our ability to fill all of our needs. We need a DE, and SLB, a WR, and possibly a TE.
  7. We need to extend Urbik and Rinehart now, so that we can keep some depth on the OL. Chandler, too.
  8. So, what do we know about this guy? Is he worth a look?
  9. Great. Let's hope they're developed into productive players. Trade does not appear to be in Buddy Nix's vocabulary.
  10. This signing we absolutely needed to do.
  11. Year 3 of Chan Gailey, but Year 1 of Dave Wannestadt. The roster we have is not a playoff quality roster. Can we get there in one more year?
  12. I know we're all sick and tired of hearing this word, but patience is the key, especially this year, with a change in defensive philosophy.
  13. Finally, somebody says what we've all known for years.
  14. Chandler may not be nack, so we may need another one with a little power.
  15. Yeah, I can hear it now: "But he's such a fun, loving, caring, thoughtful guy!"
  16. Of course, it would be really nice if he just signed now and didn't make it to FA.
  17. In the words of Phil Simms, "He is a young quarterback, and young quarterbacks will struggle in the National Football League." It all depends on what kind of talent Luck gets surrounded with.
  18. Give up a chance to draft a pass rusher/edge setter at #10? No thanks.
  19. There haven't been any hires since we signed the QB coach, have there?
  20. I read that Miami is going to a 4-3, so they may pick a defensive guy we're targeting. Glenn just might be our pick.
  21. These guys were hamstrung by the guys filling the GM seat.
  22. And re-sign Stevie, and Chandler, and sign the FA WR Buddy wants to go for, not to mention future $$$ when Levitre and Wood and Byrd need new contracts? Oh, yeah, lets's not forget Freddie.
