    Yeah, I forgot about him. At the same time, Kelly, Marino, and Rivers do not. My point is that it is not all about the QB. A certain level of talent alongside him is required, too.

    Assuming, of course, that Merriman can revert back to some semblance of his old self. Also, Kyle is not a 4-3 pass-rushing end.

    That may very well be true. The new QB coach thinks he can correct his mechanical issues, so we'll see. At any rate, he still needs to have more talent around him.

    I hope so. I think to lose them would be a huge negative impact on the line.

    Where he was a young QB with no statting experience, playing with guys used to catching passes from Carson Palmer. At any rate, even Trent Dilfer has a ring.

    You do realize, of course, that the pass rush is supposed to come from the DEs in a 4-3? How is Poe going to help there?

    He's only thought of in that way because he does not have the talent around him to make him look better, IMHO.

    With our starters pretty much in place, I can't see us going after Finnegan or any other DB in FA. The money we have would be better served signing some of our own FAs, getting another WR and a pass rusher.

    I think he's a bigger DE that doesn't fit Nix's description of what he wants.

    This wasn't the depth chart. Theirs hasn't been updated and still reflects the base 3-4 we tried to run.

    Especially if he's the one assigning positions. I also noticed that Hairston is listed as a LT, much to the chagrin of many on this board.

    I was looking over the roster on the web site and noticed a few things: 1. Colin Brown is listed as a C. 2. Spencer Johnson is listed as a DE. 3. Alex Carrington is listed as a DT 4. Bryan Scott is listed as an OLB. Thoughts?

    No way we franchise Bell. Too much money for an oft-injured guy. If we did not want to franchise Stevie, no way we would do so for Bell.

    I believe we'll get at least one of these guys. With the lack of talent at the top, unless we pick up a FA, I wouldn't be surprised if our starters end up Kelsay and Carrington.
