  1. Not a bad resume, but the awards do not always translate to a stellar pro career.
  2. Buddy attended Syracuse's pro day, and nobody there is going at #10.
  3. I happy we signed Choice. Now, if we can resign Bruce Hall, that gives us 5 backs on the roster and eliminates the need to draft one.
  4. Here's hoping that, like last year, BPA fills a position of need.
  5. Dude, you need to chill. I have seen similar posts without the kind of response to gave me. If it does bother you so much, well, then, you are also free to ignore it and let the post die. As long as I do not violate the TOS, I do believe I am allowed to post my opinion, just like you are. Now, to get back to more polite conversation, I don't see Weeden as being really high on the draft board. Granted, somebody had to throw all those passes to Blackmon, but I think his age hurts him immensely. He strikes me as the type who will need 2 years grooming behind a veteran, by which time a team will have to determine if a QB in his late 20s will be of starting caliber. If not, (and I see draft boards listing him as high as a 2nd-round pick), any team that takes him before day 3 will have misspent that pick.
  6. Which is why I would like to trafe down and still pick him up. The key to that, of course, is to not trade down too far.
  7. They are both tall WRs with speed, adept a running fly patterns in the triple option. If Hill is willing to put forth the effort to develop his game like Johnson is, there is no reason to think that he can't be one of the most feared receivers in the game.
  8. As would I, but he siad the we were happy to have 9 picks and would like to have one more. I'm not feeling a trade up.
  9. This begs one question: What would the right draft choices been?
  10. I'm not saying he won't be; I just don't think the expectations should be as high.
  11. I would love this, but it just won't happen.
  12. If Reiff had the eye-popping numbers people are looking for, we might not be having this conversation, because he wouldn't make it to #10.
  13. Ok, I'll go first. Hill from Georgia Tech. I'll pull a Detroit and take a chance on his athleticism.
  14. How much resume did Calvin Johnson have when he was picked #2?
  15. We do not need to be trading back up into any round, and I don't think we will. Buddy said we needed all 9 of our picks.
  16. How prepared is he for the NFL after playing in the triple option? He does not quite have Calvin Johnson's speed, so he can't be used in quite the same way.
  17. Just put down the bottle and whatever it is you are smoking.
  18. No thank you to Irvin. Unbelievable physical talent, but too much of a head case.
  19. Not that I'm defending Millen, but how much of it was his drafting and how much of it was poor coaching?
  20. I would love to have Claiborne on the roster, but isn't CB at 10 a bit of a luxury for us. Granted, CJ was a luxiry pick at the time, but what CB are we going to trade to seattle for a 4th and a conditional 6th?
  21. My guess is Floyd from Notre Dame.
  22. I can't see us taking Glenn at #10, so my bet is on Floyd.
  23. He's 6-7, 320, played in the Big 10 and can man either side. He'll go in the 1st round, perhaps as somebody's BPA.
