  1. Yet Thigpen had a really good year under Chan in KC and credits David Lee with helping him improve in Miami. I'm of the opinion we should give him this season to show us something, and, if he doesn't, then we go looking to replace him.
  2. I must agree with you on this one. If he was available when our turn came up, I could see some trade offers being phoned into Orchard Park.
  3. If we don't draft Kuechly in the 1st, either David or Wagner are attractive options in the 2nd.
  4. It takes more than that to be an NFL QB...Ryan Leaf, Jamarcus Russell, and Jeff George come to mind.
  5. It is, but less so if you do your homework and have good coaching.
  6. Mario Williams and Mark Anderson might have some input on that.
  7. I always did like to watch him play...so why did Minnesota let him go?
  8. Not necessarily...most of us realize that we could use at least one CB this draft.
  9. So, how do you really feel? Talent-wise, this seems like a good draft. However, I thought we were going after taller corners.
  10. Was it a sports hernia? I thought it was his shoulder.
  11. This could happen as we are all sitting in front of our TVs and/or computers...the commish walking to the podium before our pick and announcing, "We have a trade."
  12. Written by a second-round bust. Any 1st-round pick is a potential 1st-round bust.
  13. Thank you, but no, thank you. Not only are his contract, age, and attitude major roadblocks, so are his physical attributes. Aren't we targeting bigger CBs?
  14. Thank you, but no, thank you. Can anybody really see Buddy trading for him?
  15. I like Barron, but not at our pick, especially with questions about his shoulder.
  16. Agreed. In no way, shape, manner, form, or fashion do I expect Buddy to draft a TE before day 3.
  17. I'm not arguing that point. All I'm saying is that if we don't draft a WR in the 1st round, it is not the end of the world as we know it.
  18. I think you're right that it will be Kuechly. Just remember that we have had success at WR outside of the 1st round (Reed, Beebe, Johnson).
  19. My wife knows that I watch the draft every year. I also play the "after 25 years in the military, I have earned the right to watch what I want to watch" card. That, coupled with the "I don't complain about what you watch every other night" argument convinces her to leave me alone.
  20. I think Gilmore could also start right away, but I would prefer Kuechly.
  21. I like the way it is now. That way, there are 3 days where I don't have to anything around the house because my wife knows it's the draft.
  22. i think the potential is there to use various combinations of the three in different packages. I am starting to warm up to the idea of drafting of Kuechly.
  23. Eventually, yes, but it's a big step from BC to the NFL. I think Barnett might have something to say about that, but you could be right. That would give us 3 LBs that could play on passing downs: Barnett, Scott, and Kuechly. Sure you do, if he's good enough to stay on the field to cover TEs and RBs in this pass-happy NFL.
  24. All very true. It made me wonder how motivated McNabb was during the last few years of his career.
