  1. He gives them the best chance to win....sound familiar?
  2. What I find fault with is the overexaggeration of the gift. Well, you have your book, and I have mine. I think too much of a media sensation is being made over this. That is what the problem is, IMHO.
  3. Is the idea for a new downtown stadium still being discussed?
  4. Ungrateful? No, I am not. I am very grateful for everything and everybody I have. He gave something of himself? He gave a small portion of that nice big contract. If we really wantd to be glorified for helping veterans, which is a media-cool thing to do these days, than he needs to go all out. Those two marines gave a lot to this country, which, if you could quantify it, is worth more than a 4-year-old pickup truck. Would it be too much of an inconvenience to buya new one? I think somebody living in a $2M house could afford it, and really, really look good while helping veterans. Regarding your opinion of my ignorance, well, let's just say you smack of somebdy who has done little or no time in your country's uniform.
  5. Careful, he might get winded this late in the season. Maybe 7.
  6. If the current regime stays in place, that depends on how soon we get our franchise QB and inseret him into the starting lineup.
  7. OK, guys, there was absolutely no sarcasm in my post. As a veteran (25 years, 5 months, 26 days in the Air Force), I happy that these two Marines received something they desparately needed. All well and good. But if Mario is going to earn praise for coming to their assistance, he could have gone the extra mile for these two veterans who went the extra mile for the country where he is free to earn a guaranteed $50M. This is why I have a dim view of "pity the poor veteran" news stories.
  8. As many needs as we have, we may not have room for projects this year.
  9. It's nice, but you would think that someone with that much $$$ could afford a new truck.
  10. Please don't say that any of you are really surprised.
  11. He may be slow but he is averaging more YPC than Stevie.
  12. In addition to my job, I I'm in a doctoral degree program. Facts are my life.
  13. He's what, 70 years old? Is he wanting to get back in the saddle again?
  14. You don't get relegated to clipboard duty when you have a contract the size of Fitz's.
  15. I seem to remember him leading the Vikings to a win over us.
  16. It's hard to admit you made a mistake when you sign a guy to that kind of contract.
  17. Yeah, I'd like to be in that kind of financial trouble.
  18. Maybe so. That would worry me though, because Gruden might try to fix Fitz.
