  1. Draft Tek featured this reasoning behind us picking Jarvis Jones in their latest mock draft: With recent signings of Lawson and Dowtin, and the Ravens' Chavis Williams popping in for a visit Tuesday, you might feel the role of LB has been filled, obviating the need for OLB here. Not so fast! None of these players (and none in the draft) has accumulated 155 tackles, 44 tackles for loss, and 28 sacks in 26 games like Jarvis Jones. Pettine's hybrid defense will require more than these guys can offer, including a fleet pass-covering SILB and a FS over the top, but it will be harder for opposing QB to complete passes lying on their backsides. If Nix and heir-apparent Whaley trade down a tad and nabs Minter, Vaccaro, or starting QB in Round One, I won't throw my foam brick at the TV. At least, not until after Round Three. Anybody know anything about this?
  2. Lynch is a solid back, I agree, but I would rather have CJ.
  3. In this QB drive league, I would say our situation at that position has had more to do with our January vacations. Spiller is a dynamic playmaker, and I for one am really, really glad he was on the roster when Fredex went down.
  4. Looking back on that draft, would you have selected someone else?
  5. When we drafted Spiller, he was BPA. Did we need him? On paper, no. Aren't you glad he's on the roster now?
  6. With all the other needs we have on both sides of the ball, cans e really afford to draft a RB this year?
  7. What about Sio Moore from UConn?
  8. God help us if that happens...
  9. Any time frame requirements for the name?
  10. Then what happens to Anderson?
  11. Dude, this article is from 2010.
  12. In a word, no. There are more important needs for our 2nd-rounder.
  13. If he is so good, why was he released?
  14. In a word, no thank you to Harrison. Way too old.
  15. Are you saying we never had a white slow learner?
  16. So we're a Ferrari these days? I was thinking more of a Yugo.
  17. I don't know how accurate this is, but Draft Tek has him at 6-3, 198. Just a bit too skinny, IMHO.
  18. I think nothing less than a perennial Pro Bowler will salvage his legacy. He's promised to turn this franchise around, but our record the last three seasons shows that he hasn't even begun.
  19. I think we're okay at G, but you won't confuse these guys with a bunch of Pro Bowlers.
  20. Didn't he fail his physical?
  21. What 5th and 6th round picks of ours have actually contributed to our rich playoff legacy?
