And yet it would take a small dose of divine intervention for us to win.

As well as they have played at Alabama, how well have Alabama QBs fared in the NFL lately? They're not turning out to be a bunch of Joe Namaths.

But is that realistic? The only way I'll feel that way is if we beat the Patriots in our season finale.

This would an interesting draft, to say the least, but I think the coaching staff is committed to EJ, and we won't draft a QB at tall this year.

He was doing well in Trestman's offense. Will that carry over to Hackett's?

Don't you think that a part of the problem is Hackett doing double duty as OC and QB coach?

How much of the problem is with the coaches, and how much is having the wrong players?

My prediction was 4-12. New coaches, new system, new players, and a young QB with young receivers.

I really don't think he will go, anyway.

The sole reason?

I say no, but not because he's not worth that kind of pick. I just think we have too many needs elsewhere.

Do we really have a shot at Cutler?

Yes we do. We also have EJ, Thad, Tuel, and Dixon on the PS. That's enough bodies for camp. Let's concentrate on filling the holes elsewhere.

Let me educate you about me. If I had meant to attribute this non-playoff year strictly to the staff or the QB, I would have said so. Since I did not even mention them in my post, am not laying this at their feet. What I mean is that 14 years of no playoffs tends to not make me too excited about anything Bills-related right now, at least until draft day. Thank you for the life lesson, but seeing as how I'm 47, retired military, and married to the absolute best wife I could ever ask for, with the most awesome son I could ever wish for, I'm doing just fine, thank you.
