I've drafted Lukas Van Ness with our 1st round pick on occasion in mock drafts. I think he's going to be a stud. With Von being older and coming off of injury, along with A.J. playing out his last year on contract, it's a need. I also think this is Von's last year with us. That would basically leave us with Groot and Boogie after next season. Beane mentioned Benford as a safety a few times. I think he'll be a good one. Plus the versatility is helpful if a CB is injured.

To be a mid 4th round pick, who played 2 of his first 3 seasons with Diggs, Beasley, Knox, John Brown and Emanuel Sanders, that was a helluva pick by Beane. He’s put up pretty good numbers with only one ball to go around. This was his first season as a full time starter. I’m up for bringing in more talent/competition at wr, but I think he’s going to have a solid year at wr2.

😂 You don’t really consider that a lot of criticism, do you? Just pointing out not all 1st round picks work out. Even a SB winner whiffs on a 1st round pick.

It's weird they get praised for starting a 7th rd RB in the SB...because they whiffed on a 1st rd RB. Not all picks pan out, even 1st round picks.

The Myth of the Bills over-focusing on defense in the Draft and FA

I don't know you, so I don't know if you're dumb or not. I never called you dumb, I said it was a dumb comment. I can't help your level of sensitivity. -
Joe Marino Locked on Bills regarding DL

I believe Benford started game 1 and Elam had his share of starts early. Our starting punter was a rookie. I wouldn’t start Cook over Singletary to begin the year. Not on a SB contending team. Not counting Cook, that’s 3 rookies who either started from game 1 or early in the year. And that’s on a SB contender that is deep. These rookies were coached up and played when staff felt it was time. To the tune of a 13-3 record. Also 4-3 in the playoffs the past 3 years.

The Myth of the Bills over-focusing on defense in the Draft and FA

The bold can be said of any team that loses it’s top 10 qb. Between this statement and the “Beane is lucky he has Josh” , I can’t think of anything more dumb. So, Beane was lucky he traded up to pick his guy? Again, what a dumb comment. -

Good point. I would consider KC, Cincy, Bills to be pass happy teams. Maybe even Miami. What I found interesting is KC, LAC, JAX, BILLS have 2 players on the list and they made the playoffs, with KC winning the SB. If I dug down to 5 drops, CINCY joins the list. This is why I asked why panties are in a bunch over this tweet. Seems like an overreaction to a tweet by someone who tried to defend ANY criticism of Josh. Some here just took the tweet and piled on. It’s not as big of a deal as he and some here make it out to be. Only one team wins it all. That doesn’t mean the rest just suck. If you were new here and not a Bills fan, you would think we suck. Again, overreaction by quite a few here. 2nd in points per game 2nd in yds per game 2nd to the SB champs in KC. I would have thought people would have calmed down by now and actually have perspective. Edit: as to Diggs, I read somewhere on a TBD thread this was a down year for him as far as drop percentage.

Agreed. I felt this way when he was drafted. I think he's going to be pretty good back there.

False. He is the qb, but the offense is the result of 11 players on the field. They each have flaws, including Josh and yet we thrive on offense. Yes, I said thrive. If you want to argue 2nd in points per game and 2nd in yds per game in the ENTIRE league isn’t thriving, save it. KC is 1st in points per game, by 8 tenths of a point. The reason I bring up Josh is that he’s conveniently left out of the equation when a lot of you complain about the offense. There’s one person who would probably tell you he has work to do. Josh, himself.

I don’t need your help proving my point, but thanks. The rest of your post is Josh ball licking. He’s really good, but has his share of issues. Some of you take this Josh thing too personal. I bring up his issues and people like cincybillsfan and mark vader claim we’re saying he’s the problem. That’s not what I said. He has his share of issues, but never said he is the problem. cincybillsfan quote: “The Bills offensive problems have NOTHING to do with Allen. “ He was far from perfect and led the league in interceptions, had a few too many fumbles. But, again, what’s with all the bitching? 2nd in yds per game 2nd in points per game Some of this bitching is down right ridiculous. Allen is out there playing golf, while you guys sit here bitching.

The Bills should trade for Mike Evans

Why bring in a player who has issues with dropped passes to help a team that has issues with dropped passes?
