  1. With Edmunds gone, I think you guys found your new whipping boy. Have at it.
  2. Who are you referring to, Davis or Williams? You know what, never mind.
  3. My point was why is anyone comparing the expectations of Davis to Williams? There’s a reason he’s a 4th round pick and made less than $4 million total in 4 yrs. If he was undrafted, my expectations would be even less. Again, a 4th round pick brought in to supplement our #1 wr vs a guy drafted #7 overall to be the #1. That’s what I was talking about.
  4. I wondered why Davis is being compared to Williams myself. Williams was a top 10 pick and signed a 4 year deal worth just under $20 million. He made almost $13 million his rookie season alone. He was drafted to be a #1 wr. Davis is a mid 4th round pick. He was brought in to supplement our #1 wr. He has made less than $4 million total when his 4 year contract expires. IMO, he’s the definition of a #2 wr. Unless a team uses its slot wr or TE as a #2.
  5. All you need is a few buddies with a mask.
  6. I guess you’re saying these players are worth $20m because Only Hill is making $20m and that’s after leaving KC. Kelce made $10m last year. Chase is on a rookie contract still and Higgins made $1.4m last year. Point being it’s almost impossible to PAY two wrs $20m each. Ain’t happening.
  7. Josh Allen should try running out of bounds and sliding more when he has the chance to, instead of playing "Tough Guy". Bad o-line play is not an excuse for Josh to try and run over defenders or leap over them when he has a chance to avoid a big hit. Josh is big and strong, but there is always someone bigger and stronger ready to light his ass up. Josh fans here blame the o-line for Josh taking on defenders head on, instead of just getting out of bounds or sliding. Two things can be true. The o-line needs improvement and so does Josh's awareness.
  8. Competitive, sure, but he's not a dumbass. He has to know that not sliding when he can and trying to run over or leap over defenders is going to catch up to him. All coach is saying is we're going to run him less on called runs AND he needs to better protect himself. As far as the oline...I know, I know. That's not an excuse to run into brick walls on your own volition. What's wrong with gaining the first down and running out of bounds berfore you get popped? Wrs do it all the time. He has to know this.
  9. Beane dis mention Gabe’s ankle being an issue. That certainly hurts the ability to separate. Also, Diggs is one of the best route runners in the NFL. That’s why we gave up so much to bring him here from Minny. He’s been the focal point since arriving. Gabe was in his first year as a starter, with a new oc. Thinking an off season of film study and getting the ankle ready will help. I don’t think he was brought in as Diggs’ replacement. He the #2 wr and I feel he performed well overall in that role.
  10. If the question was posed in the interview, I’m sure he would have answered. He stayed on topic. The nerve.
  11. He’s going to bench himself. IR. Love Josh and his toughness, but he’s taking a lot of hits he shouldn’t be taking. Running back mentality is not for franchise quarterbacks. I’m not talking hits because of the oline. Hits he’s taking when he can slide or run out of bounds. Oh, and stop leaping over guys. Edit: LAMP, but I’ve brought this up on a few occasions.
  12. He hasn’t signed the tender yet, so he can’t be traded. Per Scheffler on ESPN. He hasn’t signed the tender yet, so he can’t be traded. Per Scheffler on ESPN just a few minutes ago
  13. I would add Benford to the list. I think he's going to get some work at safety this off season.
  14. Stats wise, Edmunds best year was his rookie year. 121 tackles, 2 sacks, 2 FF, 2 Ints and 12 PD and then made the pro bowl in years 2 and 3. He made an immediate impact IMO. A lot of anti Edmunds folks even admitted last year was a really good year for him too, maybe his best. I would take those results all over again. He's not the reason we haven't won a SB. If he didn't command such a high dollar contract, I think we would have signed him up.
  15. I looked up the top athletes coming out of WSU and to my surprise, Ryan Leaf didn't make the list. 🤣
  16. Too late, Robinhood has it all. Things are going to change.
  17. Never fell for that line. He’s not Diggs, but he’s better than that. Are you saying Gabe would have dropped it?
  18. Sorry. Pittsburgh. Great concentration and strong hands. We’ll see this year. Again, it’s a contract year.
  19. It’s tough. I remember the pass to Gabe that he had in his hands and it was pulled out by the db. First Miami game, maybe. Should he have caught it, sure. Helluva play by the db. Pretty sure it counts as one of the drops. Then Gabe gives you the catch vs the Steelers.
  20. I think he took a step forward last season, but I wasn’t expecting a pro bowl player. Just a 4th round pick who was supposed to supplement our star receiver. I think he did that. First season as a full time starter with a new OC. I also think Josh and Gabe weren’t in synch with each other. I saw a stat where he was targeted 93 times and the number of those that were “catchable “ was 57. Fantasypros.com. Not putting too much stock into the site or stat, but I think an offseason of film study by Josh, Gabe AND Dorsey to see where the issues were is going to help. I’d like to see the “catchable “ rate a little higher. For Diggs it was around 75% as opposed to the 61% for Gabe. Lastly and maybe more importantly, it’s a contract year baby!!
  21. I think a lot of people here fell for the idea that, based off of his 4td playoff game the year before, he was going to take it to another level this past season. Don’t understand the negativity. For the price(4yr $3.9m) and being a mid 4th round pick, he’s pretty productive. I also think he’s going to be a lot better this coming season.
  22. We had 2 studs at lb already and we usually only play 2 lbs at a time. Our 1st round cb was beat out by another rookie. Pacheco was a 7th round pick and replaced a 1st round pick who wasn’t that good. We play rookies, we’re just a deeper team that can let rookies develop, if they’re not better than the starters.
