  1. First off, no one here is claiming to be tuff/tough guys and to me it doesn't sound like anyone here wants to live vicariously through him. Secondly, I wonder what percentage of people that were never in prison/jail were hit by there parents. Probably most of them, including me. Having said this, a beating like that is pretty extreme. Maybe Duper can blame it on too many hits to the head during his playing days.
  2. I do agree with you on the need for a tight end, but one thing those TE's you mentioned have in common is a good to great QB to get them the ball. If we get a QB everything else will fall in place. Chandler could have been a Probowler with Brady or Brees as his QB.
  3. And your girlfriend is still with you?!?!
  4. Ahhh, the Rockets are an American Institution: Pause this vid @ 15 seconds and tell me these aren't high class strippers by your defenition. I can see some pretty revealing stuff there. I like it by the way. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UQug9ns_ugU
  5. It's not that his brother died, he was MURDERED! To me that adds another dimension to get over, but hey we're not all as tough as others. Did you really see a guy who rolled over and took the season off?!?!?
  6. As part of the general population, I beg to differ. I think I know talent, and she is talented. But one thing I do know...these are just opinions and not everyone is going to agree with each other. I take that back. I think everyone will agree she/this sucked...
  7. No, BlackBenny actually wrote "He was the top rated recruit coming out of high school. They are saying he is the best DL prospect they have seen since Bruce Smith." Hey, if you're going to claim to be the smartest man in the room, make sure we understand it's your bedroom you're talking about. You sure didn't come off as the smartest man in this case.
  8. I like this, as long as he doesn't employ the Tampa 2 defense.
  9. Wow! He says it's the same type of injury that he had on his other leg. He had surgery on it last year and said it made a huge difference. Hope he has the same success this time too. Wasn't it a problem with his achilles being frayed by bone spurs behind the tendon? http://wgr550.com/pages/15172732.php?contentType=4&contentId=12118926
  10. Call me a Polly Anna, but isn't it time to be positive? I understand the mood during the season, but we are starting over in the personel area. These comments just don't seem to fall in line with the rest of our mood. I get that you are entitled to feel this way, but why piss in our cereal too?
  11. Thanks. more in my line of thinking. Having said that, do we stay with Freddy or do we look for a younger traditional type of RB? Freddy has ended the last 2 seasons on IR.
  12. I agree he needs more touches, it's the types of touches he gets that has me concerned. Sproles gets plenty of touches, it seems he gets his touches in the non-traditional plays that a RB gets his touches, screens, etc. We can't just run him up the gut to get the touches. Thanks for the input.
  13. He guys. happy New Year!!!! Now that the season is over, I would like some opinions on CJ Spiller. He is a dynamic player who can score from just about anywhere on the field. During the season we kept asking for MORE CJ. I get it and I agree. My question is, how do we use CJ to get the most out of his talents? My thoughts quickly turn to how the Chargers and Saints used Sproles in there system. I just don't see CJ as an everydown RB in the way Freddy, Peterson, or Foster are used. To me, CJ was at his best when Freddy established the run and CJ was brought in and that change of pace caught defenders by suprise with that speed. To me, he cannot be our everydown back. I really love how the Chargers and Saints used him and his explosiveness. He can't be depended on to block in pass protection(I really don't want him pass blocking anyway) like a traditional back. Any thoughts would be great.
  14. I wouldn't and neither would anyone else on this board unless a boatload of up-front money was guaranteed. In the NFL you can be cut in a second, so having that $ up front and guaranteed is the only way I would.
  15. Heard this one on the radio too. She said it's like a fishbowl too. It's "bama talk all the time and it looks like it's wearing on her. I think he'll be in the NFL soon. Just not here. Would love it, but not happening.
  16. You know the name of a college, but can't spell or pluralize words. Go back to school, fool. There yu go. I fixxed it fore u(you forgat a cama befour fool). From one smart-ass to another. Hint: Listen to yourself as you read the sentence and you should notice there should be a comma between school and fool.
  17. Not much worse, but worse than most IMO. He really needs to work on this and I agree that this is part of the reason Freddy was in so much. Freddy is a pretty good pass blocker.
  18. OK, OK we get it! You're not changing his mind. If it's that bad for you, go find something else to do. Something meaningful.
  19. I lost in FF by .5 pts(yes a 1/2 of a point) because the sack was taken away after initially awarding it to Mario. Oh well.
  20. I admit to being one of those geniuses.
