What do you think the Bills record will be this season?
HerdMenatlity1 replied to BmarvB's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
8-8. Too many new faces this year. Slow start in the 1st half of the schedule(3-5), 5-3 the 2nd half. We will definitely be a tough team to play in the last 8 games. -

Most Ex Bills players and Bills fans are AWESOME!!!!! -
Moulds came into a bad QB situation. It was Kelly's last season, Moulds was a rookie and Kelly only threw 14 TD's before the knee injury. Moulds 2nd season was led by the trio of Alex Van Pelt, Todd Collins and Billy Joe Hobert. OUCH. Zay was a rookie with Tyrod "Throw the Damn Ball" Taylor. Last year he had Nate the Great, then a rookie QB who wasn't supposed to play last year. There is hope.

Probably a lot cheaper than downtown. At least for the land. -

You are correct. I think it's a 50 mile radius? -
I'm hoping with 2 burners (Brown and Foster), along with Beasley in the slot having to be accounted for, Zay is more productive.Rookie year, I give him a pass, 2nd year, the offense as a whole was a mess. Considering how bad our WR group was last year, his #'s shocked me (in a good way). Plus it's his 3rd year in the league, with a non-rookie QB this time. I think he will be a pleasant surprise. Here's to hoping.

My comment was more toward R. Mendenhall throwing out the "slave" comment. My Great Grandma mentioned we have slaves in our ancestry, but I would never equate what AB "went through" in Pit. as slavery. That's just wrong on so many levels. AB did what he felt he had to do to get out of Pit. Good for him. Glad we didn't get him.

Bills Draft Capital Analysis

Instead of getting off on thinking you crushed someone, take your thread and shove it up yours. You don't mean enough to anyone that they would feel "crushed", other than yourself. You ain't all that. -

So, you've been doing analytics for a while, cool man, cool. But this isn't flipping a coin. If "hitting" on a pick has the same probability for each pick, I'll take the 7 chances at 50% over the 1 chance, thank you. Those stats don't equate to 7 picks(rds 4-7) for 1 3rd rd pick. -
The bold would be my choices instead. Rather have a versatile OL like Jonah than Hock. TE seems like a reach at 9. Wilkins, maybe.

Was gonna ask the same question. Mainly Rodgers for me. What are your feeling about Rodgers? Also, are you a Favre fan?

Reading tea leaves: Bills trade down with NYG or OAK
HerdMenatlity1 replied to Estro's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I was thinking Denver would be afraid someone would trade with us more than us taking their guy. I think they want a QB and could be nervous of the Skins trading down with us. I would definitely start with asking for a 2nd as the starting point. That would be a tough pill for them to swallow for 1 spot, but if they have a QB in mind you never know. I'd take a 3rd though. -
The WR cupboard was bare last year, our line sucked and we started Nate the Great, and a rookie QB. Zay still had 56 rec, over 650 yds, 7 tds and 7 +20 yd receptions. Zay was not the reason we picked up the FA WRs. The reason we got those FA WRs is: Kelvin Benjamin, Jeremy Kerley Andre Holmes, Rod Streater, Brandon Reilly, Robert Foster, Quan Bray, Malachi Dupre, Ray-Ray McCloud, Cam Phillips, Austin Proehl, Kaelin Clay. I think Zay breaks out this year for over 1k yds and over 10 tds.

Bills Draft Capital Analysis

Not trying to be a jerk, but I would burn that chart. I value two 4th's, two 5th's, a 6th and two 7th rounders more than a 3rd, even a high 3rd. I trust Beane to do better than that. Curious, who would you take with the SF pick that wuld be worth it? Someone would have to fall really far in the draft, not sure who that would be though. -

7 picks for a 3rd?!? I think my math is right. -

Beane says plug holes in FA and build through the draft. I'm all for using the 10 picks, maybe trading an extra 4th or 5th to move up. A couple of picks might end up on the practice squad. -

I like that you mentioned picks 10-15. So, if Denver gets nervous and calls us, what would it take for us to move down 1 spot? Is a 3rd asking too much? If not a 3rd, how about a 4th and 5th? -
Hypothetical Mock, Who would u select @ #9
HerdMenatlity1 replied to BillsFan1988's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Living in Tallahassee, I've seen quite a bit of Burns. I like him, but I think White is a much better prospect at the NFL level. If we picked 15th, I would take him. Now if Beane and Mcd. like him enough, you don't trade down 6 spot and hope he's there. Not for 6 spots. Take him.
