Along this vein, if Gruden has a great deal of decision making and it looks like he does, he's doing a terrible job. 1) Traded Mack and then acted surprised at how good he was. 2) Traded Cooper, who then tore it up in Dallas. 3) Took Clelin Ferrel #4 overall. 4) Took a RB in the 1st round. 5) Looks like he was good with acquiring AB. Am I missing anything? I'll keep editing as I come up with more. 6) He said Peterman was awesome. 7) Signed Vontez.

Sure, Allen is the focal point but as ALF said, it's gonna depend on how our NEW oline works out. Not many QB's stood a chance with last year's line. Hopefully it doesn't take a couple of games for them to gel. Beating 2 beatable teams in the Jets and Giants, off the bat would do wonders for Allen and the rest of the team. Here's to a healthy Oline!

Sure they have a hell of a line, but Zeke makes the team go. Cooper came in and added an element they didn't have, but teams had to focus on Zeke. Without that attention paid to Zeke, Cooper is not going to have nearly the input he had late last season. Dak is asking for more money than I think he's worth, way more. I think Jerry feels the same, but Dak is his QB and even average Qb's are getting paid a ton. Cooper hasn't been there long enough to prove he can take over the offense without Zeke's presence. I know RB are "devalued" but Zeke probably is top 3 in touches over the last 3 yrs(non-qb). He is Dallas' main weapon on offense. You don't just put in a JAG and expect a SB when you are set up that way. He would be smart to ask for a ton of guaranteed $ because of this. Jerry is in a tough spot( I don't feel for him). I think in this scenario, paying Zeke is the right thing to do. Next up would be Dak. Let Cooper play out the year and negotiate with him in the off-season. Tag him if you need to. Windows in the NFL shut quickly, and Dallas thinks they are built to win now. Not having Zeke really throws a wrench in the plan. JMO.

This really scares me. If Devin goes down, that leaves Gore and Yeldon. Love Gore, but for him to carry the load is asking a lot. I see Yeldon as a pass catching back, not someone who can handle the load. Will an injury to Devin make us more of a passing team?

Yea, love the guy. Even had a couple of drinks with him back in the day. Really nice and personable, to me at least. He saw me wearing a pair of his sneakers, thanked me and bought me a drink the 1st time. Ran into him a 2nd time, he remembered and bought me another, even though I offered this time. Obviously, if he had hurt himself during the fall, not so funny.
