  1. I know they're an AFCE team, but I hope the Jets beat the hell out of the Browns. For some reason I feel Baker wouldn't handle loosing well. He doesn't seem like a level-headed guy and that's what a team needs in it's leader. The Browns didn't even want to answer questions after that butt whupping by the Titans. They basked in the glow of all the off-season praise, laid an egg and then..."don't ask me that", " what kind of question is that", "people are going to throw us in the trash".
  2. I doubt it's because of draft position. I'll go with our coaching staff on this one. Don't forget Zay caught a pass on our game winning drive against the Jets. Almost 20 yds to take us from our 36 yd line to the Jets 44 yd line. That was a big play in that drive.
  3. I think Russel Wilson is the best at it right now.
  4. He's like a broken watch...or that blind squirrel.
  5. Iv'e been Bobby's Beaners since the inception of our league in 1993. We are in a more PC society now, but I'm sticking with it.
  6. Oh yea?!? Here's to your 0-7 prediction:
  7. We're only into 1 game of year 3 for Zay. Last year was a crap show by the offense as a whole and he still put up ok #'s, considering. It was very premature to say he wouldn't make the team this year and it's very premature to judge him for the 2019 season. We won, he played a part in it and it's all good for Zay. Nice 20 yd catch on the last scoring drive by Zay to get us into Jets territory.
  8. Wait...he made the team?! I thought...oh, never mind.
  9. Here's the thing though, I think Shaq has performed well over the last 2 years. I kinda feel for the guy. He gets drafted higher than he should have and by an inept coaching staff that stunted what was already a really good defense before that staff was brought in. Then they "fix" things by bringing in Rob "fully pregnant" Ryan. He was also brought in to be a 3-4 D.E. That made no sense to me, at all. He was drafted that high, even the Rex and the staff knew he had a bum shoulder. He had surgery on that shoulder before the season even began(if memory serves me right), so that's a lost rookie season right off the bat because of Rex and crew. He was never a "sack machine". He was a solid 4-3 DE who holds up on the edge well. Seems to me Shaq has been developing nicely since the new regime has taken over. He's getting good coaching and is playing in a position he is more suitable in. I think Shaq will play very well wherever he is next season and I hope it's here. I also think he'll play well here this season, but it won't be because he wasn't extended. That makes it sound like he hasn't tried until his "contract year" and that is flat out false. He's not crying about this, but he is a victim of circumstance: Wrex Ryan and that awful regime. Just a thought. Voted for Shaq, by the way.
  10. I said the same thing in a thread before the season started. If he sits, that means we are talented and deep enough to bring him along slow and not rush him. If we HAD to play him due to a lack of good options, I would be concerned. Right now, if he plays it's because he's one of the top 5.
  11. Should get better over the next few weeks. We do need to find our top 5 and stick with them.
  12. I mean, it's not like I was losing sleep or abusing my kids over this. Just thought this would be a good topic to bring up. I had concerns over the line, but wasn't near the ledge, ready to jump.
  13. Since the beginning of training camp, my concern coming into the first 3-4 games of the season has been the o-line. I love the off-season pick ups and drafting Ford. My concern is with so many new faces and moving parts, how long will it take for them to gel? Morse being out for most of the training camp has to be a factor. Considering the talent the Jets have on the D-line and it being their 1st game together, we did a pretty good job. I think we're going to see one hell of a line once they get a few games together under their belt.
  14. There are positive threads out there. If you look, I promise you'll find some.
  15. If this report card thread is for week 1 and not the 2nd half, he gets a C. I like Allen a lot. It's 1 game on the road and I think he'll play better. There's no way he's even close to an A for the whole game. Even a B is pushing it. Without the defense, I sense a different tune. Again, I like Allen a lot, but I took off my Bills rose colored glasses when giving him a C. I think that's fair and he'd probably tell you the same.
  16. Doesn't look like the Patriot way has rubbed off on Matt Patricia and Amendola.
  17. I met Nigel Bradham's mom at an establishment during the 1 o clock games. Really sweet and said Nigel had nothing but good things to say about the city of Buffalo, Bills organization and Bills fans.
  18. Baker and the Browns laid a big turd. ?
  19. Bills offense: -8 Jets offense: 0
  20. So we got rid of McCoy because, hell who needs to run the ball? Right?!?
