Zay Jones blocking ability - I’m impressed
HerdMenatlity1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
At this rate the bills will have more interceptions throwing to zay than they do completions Couple of things: this thread began as praise for his blocking skills. There are plenty of other threads complaining about Zay. Second, I was replying to the quote above. Now we're going to blame him for Josh's bad throws? Again, the quote above. Read it again and tell me I'm wrong about the quote. Maybe you should place blame on Josh for the picks, which is what I was referring to. I've said time and again Zay's ain't great. The picks are on Josh and Josh only. -
Zay Jones blocking ability - I’m impressed

So now a qb throwing picks is Zay's fault? If Zay is open when it's thrown, and he has been, that's on the qb. -
WTH? The nerve.

I comprehend that you are still taking this personally. Your insult to me after time off kinda proves it. We don't agree. I've said this a number of times. Let it go.

Look who's back. Welcome to the party. Man, you promised not to mention my boyfriends name again. Ever. Still dreaming of him I guess. Gone for a while and comes back with insults. Nice. Don't you think you're still taking this too personally?

Week 5: Bills (+2.5) at Titans
HerdMenatlity1 replied to YoloinOhio's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
31-17 Bills. Bills keep Henry in check and limit the turnovers. -
This. Yet he is the only WR on the Bills so far to be open for 3 tds, in 4 games. If Josh hits him, he leads the team in tds. As for the "Duke would have caught them", that's hypothetical.

That Carolina "miss" was the result of Zay and the LB dropping into coverage clipping each other's feet while Zay was making his cut. Even the LB stumbled after their feet clipped. Yet the narrative by some here was that Zay "stumbled over his own feet". False. Zay's left foot and the LBs right foot clipped each other on Zay's cut, at the 19 yd line. That threw the timing and route off. Still remember it?! I've seen many great WR miss a pass due to feet getting tangled with a defender. He made a great effort to catch the ball. Just out of his hands. Also, making fun of mental illness is not funny. What are you, 8 yrs old!? Everyone has a family member with some sort of mental illness, yours included.

Beat me to it, damn.

or Josh's passes don't get within 5 ft of Zay?

I'm a big time FSU fan. The problem with EJ was he waited for the receiver to get open, then throw it to him. He could get away with that in college. Not in the NFL. DB's are too good. Josh has the tools and has shown the ability to throw a receiver open, to a degree. IMO, EJ reached his potential as a college QB. Josh still has a ton of potential for improvement.

Did Jonathan Jones purposely take out Josh Allen?
HerdMenatlity1 replied to HOUSE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It's a tough call, but yea, I'm with you. He was doing his job. I would hope our intent on that type of play was to keep the QB from gaining that 1st down in a tight game. The flex seemed more like a celebration on a good lick. It did age poorly though, but no intent to injure, IMO. -
A lot of people break the season down into quarters. I like that idea, so taking it 4 games at a time, I feel really good about a 3-1 record. Beside the punting issues, the only concern is turnovers at a critical position(QB). Even so, I am not overly concerned and feel this will work itself out. Josh has played 16 games in his career, so I'm hopeful there will be progress. Actually, I feel there will be progress. We have a new o-line, new receivers and new tight ends. I always thought it would take time for the offense to gel. The next 4 games are Tenn. on the road and then 3 home games vs. the Dolphins, Eagles and Skins. If there was a time where we might be able to absorb a game or two missed by Allen, this stretch is it. If we limit our turnovers, we should be able to go 3-1 or even 4-0 in the next 4 games. A 6-2 record after 8 games played would be sweet. Then on to the 3rd quarter of the season with an offense that has played together enough to gel, an awesome defense doing great things and maybe a new punter. I'll try to come back to this post after game 8.

Will offense operate better with Barkley next week?
HerdMenatlity1 replied to GG's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hope Allen plays, but no matter who plays, we need to stop with the turnovers. We win yesterday if we don't turn it over yesterday. It's not like NE caused all the turnovers. Three were self inflicted, not counting the blocked punt. -

No doubt. -
Did Jonathan Jones purposely take out Josh Allen?

Yep, maybe he should go, but the question was" Did Jonathan Jones purposely take out Josh Allen?" Josh was trying to get extra yardage and a first down. The DB kept him from doing so. That was his intent. IMO. -

That is definitely what Josh was trying to do. Having said this, the DB did his job in keeping Josh from getting the extra yardage. Golic is wrong, it should have been and was a penalty. -

He purposely hit Josh hard, but I don't think he had had it in his mind to take Josh out. Football is still a violent game. -
Josh Allen - week FOUR report card
HerdMenatlity1 replied to rayray808's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Allen got an F for yesterday. I think the next meeting will be different, even though it's on the road. Josh will see that even a C grade today would have won the game. We have a really good team around him. We don't need miraculous plays, just a steady QB. There was a thread during preseason that asked for projections on Allen's stats. I mentioned not wanting Josh to run so much. This is why. We have RBs to take that punishment. Dirty hit or not, defender's eyes light up when a QB is running. Even someone as big as Josh and Cam break down when they get hit. There's a reason rb have a short lifespan in the NFL. -

Make the trade for Stephon Diggs
HerdMenatlity1 replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Sure, I'm pretty sure I did with the words "potential" and "may". If they were there and dropped, I would be all for his departure. Don't forget, I'm a Bills fan. I'm not a Zay lover or Duke hater. Zay apologist, yes. Zay lover, no. Keep in mind, in our 1st four games, no one has been open for more tds than Zay. He should get those" chances". Hopefully Josh hits whoever gets open in the endzone. -

I'm not ready to move on from Josh either, but so far no one has denied he has missed Zay 3 x for easy tds. I have heard he PROBABLY would have dropped them. I've read I'm an apologist and have an agenda. Don't deny the 1st part, but to say he would have dropped them is a Josh apologist typing.
