It’s not like he’s Devin Singletary asking for that much. Typically 3-4 more good years left in him. He’s asking at the right time. Keeping him during his peak years isn’t a bad idea. And he’s just peaking now. JMO.

What Beane is doing is being one of the best GMs in the league. That’s what the eff he’s doing. How many straight division titles, 2nd in the league in scoring. Bills turnovers created stats, according to ESPN: 2020: 26 takeaways tied for 3rd in the entire league. 2021: 30 takeaways tied for 3rd in the entire league. 2022: 27 takeaways tied for 3rd in the entire league. 2023: 30 takeaways tied for 2nd in the entire league. 2024: 31 takeaways tied for 2nd in the entire league, with 1 more game to play. Looks like a plan to me. Pretty consistent. By your logic, I guess we are just consistently lucky. I actually had a choice to sign a contract offer from another team. The Bears offered a substantial raise, so I accepted it. Money over wins. The Bills decided to match the offer. I only got a raise from Buffalo cuz of the Bears offer. Beane didn’t want to pay me my worth. A lot of people here thought I should sign here on the cheap cuz the Bills organization is better.
