IMO there is no way the bills even consider sanders. they guy cant stay on the field thats the ONLY reason Indy cut him why in Gods name anyone would think we would have interest is beyond me. Atogwe is another deal he is a great player who i would love for the bills to go after and he is much better than whitner. that being said if we dont go after atogwe then i would be all for keeping whitner. he is a good guy a good football player not great and is an excellent team guy and leader.

i'm suppose to listen to you over mayock,LOL. mayock is GREAT @ what he does and definatly knows his crap more than any of us. this is not an exact science everyone misseses on a player now and then. just because he liked shu second best does not mean that he did not consider shu a great player. as far as i'm concerned you cannot judge a player until he has @ least 3 years in the league so mayock may turn out right in his assessement down the road. anyway i also love fairley but believe me i put a lot of stock in what mayock says so if we dont get fairley and get darius then maybe i wont be as dissapointed. they are both great players i hope. i just wish we had the third pick in last years draft instead of this years draft. this IMO is a very bad draft to be in the top 5 due to lack of true super stars especially after Luck dropped out. bowers and Fairley could both be one year wonders,peterson is rated higher than ackumura because of his return abilities but i think ack is the better corner and we dont need a receiver. the QB's are all a gamble in the top 5. if i had it my way i would trade down to around the #10 spot and pick up another second which would give us the amo to drop back into the later part of the first round and pick up another solid starter. that being said i would rather have our position in this years draft over last years draft in rounds 2 thru 7 because i think this is a deeper draft at positions of need for the bills except LB in or out but especially inside.

that in no way makes him a franchise qb who you could build your team around. he is what he is a QB who could play at an adequate level to get you thru another year while we groom our QB of the future and thats it and every NL personnel man knows that except the GM's on this board. seriously you are actually comparing him to the top 4 QB's in the league ? you need to wake up from your delusions and start dealing with reality. a man who gets it a and who is a realist!

i hope they have a lot of picks because thats exactly what i'm hoping for a top 10 to 12 team falls in love with a player and wants to get to our spot @ 3 and is willing to pay a kings ransom for the pick. i make the trade in a minute take gabbert or the best defensive player available . if we take a defensive player then we have the amo to dip back into the later part of the first round to get our QB and @ 34 we get our starting RT for the next 10 years. if all that happens we should get 3 immediate starters as rookies,that is of course unless we draft gabbert or mallett then in the top 34 we get 2 starters and our QB of the future. that would blow my mind. then if we get lucky with our third and fourth round picks we may get another starter out of the 2 and we would be well on our way to being a very good young talented team!

couldnt disagree with you CB comment more. did you watch the SB? the total of runs for both teams was like 28 combined. in case you havent noticed this has become a passing league and shut down corners are worth their weight in gold. our best chance to get a team IMO to want to move up to #3 is to get a shot @ peterson I'll bet Buddy is thinking the same thing. i simply refuse to believe that after Fairley is gone and if Nix does not want a QB @ 3 that he will be comfortable reaching for a DT,an undersized LB or overrated DE @ 3. if we have learned one thing after last years draft and after hearing Buddy say a million times since he became our GM "we will take the best player on our board regardless of position" i also believe that applies especially in the first round there is no way Nix is going to draft for a need and by pass a great player. he proved that last year in Spiller and he will do it again this year,he is not going to reach for a position of need and pass on a super star because he plays a position that is not a need position for the bills. personally i could not agree with him more you win with great talent and you cannot by pass a great player no matter what position due to a need especially in the top 5 to 10 slots.

some of you guys still dont get it. both Fairly(who i like) and bowers were nobody's last year like maybin. there is great concern that they may also be one year wonders especially bowers. after fairley there is no great player of need for the bills in @ least the top 5 other than CB in peterson and he may also be over rated as a corner due to his return abilities which the bills dont need. like i have been saying this is a horrible year to be in the top 5 due to the total lack of super blue chip prospects and even worse is the fact that none of the positions of need for the bills,DL (except for fairly who will be long gone),OL or LB have any super star quality players worthy of being a top 5 pick. so what do the bills do? you got me but if they like Newton or any of the QB's then taking them @ 3 would not be a reach seeing that after fairley is gone unless you want a CB or a WR we are missing out on nobody. my preference if Nix does not want a QB @ 3 is to trade down to the 5 thru 10 slots and pick up additional picks grab the best defensive player they deem available and then use the additional picks to get back into the later part of the first round to get their QB of the future. believe me anyone who believes Galieys line about liking Fitz is a fool. he may like him for another year @ the most but you can bet your last dollar that he knows his main need is a franchise QB. like pat kirwin said to the buffalo fan who called into his show "did you watch the super bowl ?" "believe me Galiey and Nix know that the bills need a franchise QB and they will get one in this draft if they feel one is there they like even @ 3"

i think listening to Nix and Galiey you can pencil in reinhart as our new RG they seem to love the guy. the thing about urbic is why the hell would a team give up on their third round pick before he even finished his first season IMO something is very wrong there.

dont quite agree with your evaluation here on Green. the book is tilll open on the spiller pick. however comparing Green to the rest of the players you mentioned is not fair or correct. talent wise they are not on the same planet. sometimes players come along that are once every 5 year talents no matter what their position and i think green falls into that catagory. what would be ideal IMO is that with fairley gone @ 3 some team that may covet Green in the top 10 or 12 would want to drop down and offer us @ least a second and most likely additionally a third or fourth. then we could still get a very good player with our first round pick and the additional picks would allow us to get back into the later half of the first round and grab our starting RT for the next 10 years. i would be happy with any of the top 3 Rt's and they are all projected to go late first round.

anyone who listens to keiper or puts any stock in anything he says i'm sorry but your lost. the guy is a draftnic. he I'm sure has over the years gotten some connections with league UNDERLINGS.that being said if anyone thinks they give him any inside info your dreaming because they then would be jeopardizing their own careers,think about it. however that being said to compare him to even the worst drafting teams in the league is a joke. i dont care what the guy says or thinks and anyone who thinks he knows more than NFL personal depts just dont get it. if he knew anything he would be working for an NFL team instead he gets a blog on espn and gets one gig a year on draft day as part of the "entertainment". everyone is entitled to their opinions all he is telling you is his opinion and believe me he does not know more than the NFL personnel men and the scouts. the scouts throw him a bone now and then now he's the God of how to draft in the NFL,whatever.

\ you are way off in your understanding of the value of our pick. to stay in the top 10 a team would have to swap firsts and easily include a second round pick and most likely more. anyone after 10 would have to give up their first along with their second third and a player. go look at the trade value chart. the least we would get for dropping down 5 spots would be an additional second round pick after 10 its a bevy of players and picks.

when a cba is reached they all become free agents its as simple as that.

everyone knows there will be no free agency after this season until a new CBA is agreed upon. also no rookies will be signed for the same reason.

to me i was not very impressed with his play in the bowl game nor was i very impressed with bowers. IMO its buffalo's bad luck to be in the top 3 this year compared to last years draft. last year we would have gotten a star in the top 5 picks at positions of need for the bills. this year after fairley who will be long gone by #3 there is no player besides a receiver or corner that has the ability to be a dominant player. no OT's,DE's or LB's worthy of being picked @ 3 is a real shame for bills fans. with fairley off the board i hope the bills trade down acquire more picks and still get a good player in the 7 to 15 slot,not a star player but a good player @ a position of need. IMO there is no way we go QB @ 3 because i dont feel there are any QB's worthy of top 5 picks but in Nix i trust and if he drafts a QB or bowers or whoever he picks i will feel just fine. i know we all feel like we know better than the people that do this for a living but anyone with half a brain knows that is not the case.
