  1. I agree that the Bills must keep what they have as their good players and build around them. The average is 3 years as far as building a decent winning team.(Iguess) Or at least a team that can compete for a playoff spot. The key is what players the Bills organization deem as the players they will build around. I would hope the Organization would try and keep Whitner if the price is fair. It's hard to evaluate a player who plays around a bunch of mediocre players. Especially a DB. Who knows how many times one gets burned because he should of had safety and/or LB help on any given play. I guess that is why it's a team sport. The key in the off season in my opinion would be with the defensive line and linebackers. The Bills have had some great LB trios over the years. That's one of the most exciting thing I used to love to watch with this team. The Bills need to get back to building a nasty LB core that just puts fear in teams. I would like to see a couple FA linebackers and D. lineman added in the offseason. The offense can put up the points and can only get better if kept intact. Hopefully Mr. Wilson will give one last go of it and spend in the offseason to put together a fearsome, fast, strong defence that is good and fun to watch. It's been too long and that is why the D. is at the bottom of the league. That is obvious. Spend, spend, spend on this defence and keep whatever key players they have and the postseason would not be out of the question. This team lost way too many close games. How many overtime games? Tweek the D. with some players who can lead and run this defence on the field. I'm not too worried about the offense. I.M.O., If the Bills had a top 10 D. they would probably be playing for a spot in the playoffs this weekend. With the right offseason moves, we could have a more complete Bills team next year. Even with the personell this year i would say they were at least compettitive in most of the games. I would give the credit to this coaching staff. Now it's up to the hierarchy.
  2. Pat Williams is getting old. I wouldn't mind signing Pat for a year or two. I wouldn't mind the other Williams on their D either. I don't think Winfield left on the best of terms with the Bills. Would be nice to have veteran leadership on the D. Nice idea....not likely.
  3. Good point. It was like 5a.m. when I posted that. I guess i'm just not as sharp as I used to be on these boards. After going back to the initial response I see that. Too bad DC could not be as articulate as u when responding to my response. No pugilism is not a good thing nor is calling someone a moron. That IS what leads to fights in my back yard
  4. True story. Norwoods kick just before "wide right" was also sailing right. And not to mention the fact Norwood had never made a kick from that distance on grass before. I saw something on u tube that showed that the laces on the ball were not out? Anyway, I would say that was a lot to ask of Norwood under that kind of pressure. I blame that loss on the very poor tackling on the last TD drive the Giants had. Way too many 3rd downs converted. Never should have put Norwood in that position.
  5. Oh yes. That will be the first thing I will do is ask around. People like you call other people morons on line because they would get knuckled in a face to face. Ignorance is bliss. Just don't post things like that because it is hard to tell if you are serious or just a moron. I'm not new to the board either. I probably had more posts on this board before you were trying to be "sarcastic". Anyways I think you were being more fecetious anyway. Stop being an acrimonious weisenheimer.
  6. lmao!!! Should be a good game then. Eh?
  7. If he catches that ball then history is rewritten. That was by far the worst non wide open catch all season. For the Bills to come back like they did and then one man misses a wide open victory catch. If I was his teammate, I would be a little p-d off to say the least. He was probably thinking about how he was going to celebrate. After some of the catches we have seen him make...maybe he was just too wide open.
  8. Damn!! Sorry. It was about 5 a.m. when i posted this. Didn't even notice 'till now. A moderator must do it because it's not allowing me to. Those damn rookie restrictions. lol The way I look at it is that most will understand what I mean. Sorry for those of you who it bothers. Just making a point is all. If an Organization can't keep at least a few of their tallented free agents and add a few to boot then the wheels keep spinning to another losing season. I would just love to see the Bills learn from there mistakes. Not sure it will happen. Seeing is Billieving. Just another devoted Bills fan. Are we the inablers?
  9. Explain please.???
  10. That hasn't worked for this team over the last decade. Not sure of this statement because most impact players do not go high in the draft. A lot of them do; but not most. The Bills did just fine from like '87-'94 or so and they were a winning team. This team should be back at that level by now seeing all the top 10 picks they have had. So, i'm not sure your reasoning is or has worked with this team. The real good organizations find those impact players out of the first round and so on. Take the guy Woodhead that the Pats picked up. The five foot seven RB that scored the winning TD last sunday against the Bills. That guy was let go by the Jets and is an impact player so far for the Pats. A team must be good on all sides of the ball (Drafting, F.A., etc.) in order to become and stay good. That guy has sick speed and is only a buck something. Any team could have picked up this guy. The Pats did. Evaluating tallent and knowing tallent the Bills org. does lack very badly.
  11. Now all us Bills fans can do is hope the Bills keep Jackson and build off Him. As far as the players I mentioned, Pat Williams has not missed a game and is still a beast at 37. Winfield is a game changer also. He just had sick money thrown at him and ran. I believe he was worth it though. Ths Vikings, in my opinion, should have made the Bowl last year. All those turnovers??
  12. Just thinking of all the players that the Bills let leave for whatever reason. Pat Williams; Winfield; Spikes; Clements; Molds; etc.; etc! How can this organization expect the young players to get mentored. The Bills Orginization is just not committed to winning. Every player who becomes of any worth ends up with another organization. Now this Organization has purged itself of every player that was a leader and/or a game changer. Who is left on this roster to lead this young team and teach these young players how to be leaders? It just irks me because this team could have all the pieces now. What hope is there that anything will change???
  13. Absolutely nothing interesting about Edwards. He just doesn't have the arm to throw the ball far enough to a wide open receiver 40 yrds down field. He may be able to manage himself out of a paper bag though.
  14. If anyone should go I think it would be Fred Jackson. But who knows for sure??
  15. If my memory is correct I believe that the Pats had 3 players with over 100yrds rushing against the Bills on Sunday. At least 2 and the other had over 90yrds. Something like that.
  16. Tried to fix the topic but was not allowed. Why?
  17. Amen to that. Brady has all the time in the world. He does owe a lot of his success to his O-Lines. They are talented and well coached/prepared. For the most part they have had the luxury of plugging in an O-lineman here and there and they don't miss a beat. Succinct basically means to the point and 100% correct. That comment was not succinctly put. lol Just busting balls. Although you used the word correctly......never mind. Irony at it's best.
  18. Peter King reports that Luck plans to stay @ Stanford. The third year sophomore plans on returning and will not enter the draft. Not sure if this has been reported. It won't be the Bills loss. Carolina looks poised to take the #1 spot in the draft.
  19. The Bills need to Farve Brady!!! Damn. The D is soo bad I don't think that would matter.
  20. I was at that game. The Milloy-first game of the season. Man were the Bills pumped up that game. The key was that Brady had no time to throw. I think that was a shut out. Brady has the most time in the league to throw the damn skin. The Pats O-Line would make Edwards look like Brady. That is a lot of the reason the Pats have been realy good. Even when the defence doesn't show up, the O-Line gives Brady all the time in the world. It's disgusting. Get pressure on the boy, constant pressure, and he will look like Edwards back there. Sick, just sick the time he has to throw.
  21. As a Bills fan, I do miss watching Mr. Winfield. Should the Bills have paid the man? He is a game changer. Ah! The greedy S.o.B!
  22. I don't know how you could say they are not better on the field than their record shows. I would bet my bottom dollar no team would look at the Bills record and then say that it will be an easy win or a gimme. T.O. has all the tallent. What does he lack? That very thing u say means nothing. Just one example. Another being an ex offensive lineman nemed Ruben Brown. Many others to be sure.
  23. Right on! Look at ...um....T.Owens. That about proves u right!
  24. I was planning on going to this game and enjoy the weather and atmosphere at the Ralph. But...I live in Western MA. That means I can finally watch this one on TV. I have hated the Pats since birth.? I think. Ha Ha! What has been up with the Vikings on TV almost every week??? Love Favre. What happened to THAT team? Letting Pat Williams get the chance to go elsewhere was a huge mistake too. He is 37 or 38 and has not missed a game, or a step, in a long time. The Vikings should have gone to the dance last year. All those turnovers?? Anyway. Always a faithful Bills fan. It has been far too long since i have been on the forun. Not a newbe??? Im as old as good old Pat Williams and just flat out admire his skills. He was a fav of mine when he was with the Bills. One more lost great player thats on the long list over the last few years.
