The OP forecasted record breaking cold followed by a bunch of posters pointing out it's ridiculous to predict that 2 weeks in advance. It's shaping up to be a normal January day in WNY.

First Jimmy Butler now Tyreek, everyone trying to get out of Miami.

Von Miller needs 1 sack for $1.5 million

This. It wasn't some altruistic gesture towards the team, he had his own interests in mind. -

Titans fans celebrating Joe Milton and dunking on the Pats on social media is pretty entertaining. -

Not even the worst collapse in the last month, to the same team no less.

Is that true? I thought a stoned 13 year old came up with that. And it just caught on with the drunks tailgating. edit: in his defense, he might have been stoned and 13 years old.

Well that was entertaining. Until it wasn't.

lol no. They are in Orlando this year, which is another reason for them to blow it off and go to Cancun with the rest of the league.

McD said we're going to see a lot of the backups, right? Then yeah, I expect him to be out there. -
Rodgers definitely made a business decision on that fumble recovery.

Random talking head says something about the Bills

He's got a terrible take on this. There's only one person on this staff that has pressure on him, and that's Matt Smiley. -
Seahawks-Bears anyone? (Live Game Thread)
QCity replied to Sierra Foothills's topic in The Stadium Wall
Fans on social media love to gang up on young QBs with the bust memes, but history has shown it's incredibly difficult for these QB's to develop with sub-par coaching. Look no further than across the field at Geno Smith. Imagine trying to break into this league with Rex freaking Ryan as your coach? Williams was in a tough situation with Matt Eberflus. -
Don't be silly, scoring TDs has nothing to do with football. Did you see those charts posted???

A lot of you ragging on Tre's youth are overlooking his measurables. -
👏👏👏 You understand what so very few do. Unfortunately, delivering hard truths about a player the day after he had a monster game won't be well-received. Bills' fans are going to see something next offseason they haven't seen in a while - a premium player holding out, it's the boilerplate plan agents use for RBs after their 3rd season.

Another great article by LeBrun for The Athletic - LeBrun: There are no easy answers for the questions facing Kevyn Adams’ Sabres snippet: "As the Buffalo Sabres have descended into this 0-10-3 tailspin, landing them last in the NHL in points and headed toward a hard-to-fathom 14th straight season missing the playoffs, I keep thinking about the decisions ownership has made in its general manager hires. Tim Murray was GM from January 2014 to April 2017, Jason Botterill from May 2017 to June 2020, and it’s been Kevyn Adams since then. All three were first-time NHL GMs. That doesn’t mean they weren’t qualified. Everyone has to get their first chance at some point, and especially in the cases of Murray and Botterill, they had worked their way up the NHL scouting and front-office ranks before landing the gig. Regardless, looking at where the franchise is now with the benefit of hindsight, handing the reins to first-time GMs three straight times can’t be glossed over. Listen, no one is complaining in South Florida about first-time NHL GM Bill Zito, nor in Vegas about first-time NHL GM Kelly McCrimmon. But in Zito’s case, he’s got former GMs Rick Dudley, Paul Fenton and Les Jackson surrounding him in his inner circle. McCrimmon has George McPhee. At the very least — especially with Adams, who is a very likable guy with tremendous passion for the sport — couldn’t the Sabres have brought in some sort of mentor to help him along the way? Like how Jim Rutherford is helping along first-time GM Patrik Allvin in Vancouver? Wouldn’t it have made sense to bring in a Ray Shero or someone of that ilk to help support Adams? (Did I mention that Ken Holland is currently a free agent?) Then there’s this point I made when the team fired Botterill: Giving a GM only three years on the job doesn’t make a lot of sense. I don’t know whether Murray or Botterill would have gotten the Sabres over the playoff hump eventually, but I do know three years wasn’t enough time for either to get a fair crack at it. Any longtime NHL team executive will tell you that it takes at least five years for someone to implement their vision on a franchise, especially for a full rebuild."

I was going to comment that after that game, at least we won't have to listen to people questioning why Elam doesn't start. But here we are.
-
Any other franchise would not have fired and hired 8 coaches in the last 10 years. It's not the coach. Bless those of you still watching, made it 15 minutes in before I switched to NCAAF.

Well it's the truth, and it certainly doesn't make anyone happy.

Von Miller proves the doubters wrong

First of all, you shouldn't use raw snap counts because they vary game to game. He's played ~80% of snaps his entire career and even in Buffalo before his injury he was around 65-70%. Yes, even with our rotation, starting players get more snaps and when we signed him he actually was a starter. Since his injury he's been in the 30% range - that's called being a backup. That's right, AJ and Groot out-snap him 2-1. He comes on the field for obvious passing downs i.e. snaps where he should get pressures and sacks. Second, there's 3 weeks left in the season and he has 4 sacks. PFF stats and blog articles aren't enough to spin that into a positive. They're not "managing" anything, he's a backup. People said the same thing for last year's playoffs and nothing changed. In the 25 games since his injury he's hit that number once. What, besides wishful thinking, makes you expect that?
