Help me understand the Ken Dorsey hate
QCity replied to Buffalo_Stampede's topic in The Stadium Wall
His offense really doesn't seem to have an identity past "let Josh run around in the backfield like a maniac and wait for him to do something amazing." He hasn't generated any type of running game (outside of our QB of course). We drafted him a shifty RB in the 2nd round with great hands but he doesn't seem to be able to scheme a RB screen game to take pressure off Josh. We doubled down and got him a proven pass-catching RB in Hines, but he quickly got relegated to special teams which is nice, but certainly not the reason we traded for him. When other teams start bracketing Diggs the offense starts to looks pedestrian and again reverts into "Josh has to do everything" mode. I guess you can blame the offensive line for some of the issues but the takes of "it's just his 1st year!" are complete homer nonsense. If he just arrived in town last year that might hold some water, but he's been here since 2019 under Daboll's wing. My contention is that if you gave Dorsey an OC job with anything less than a top-5 QB he would be fired within 2 years.- 166 replies

All-Pro DT Chris Jones not at Chiefs Mandatory Minicamp

Is there anything this fanbase can't spin into a positive? 😂 -
"The Giants had an offer out to Barkley earlier in the year that could've been worth close to $14 million per season, sources have told ESPN. Barkley and his team turned it down." 😂😂 🤡🤡

It's not hatred. Where the hell do you get hatred from?

Yes. The majority of NFL players that left the game in the 70s had to get 9-to-5 jobs and worked until their retirement age. Superstar players made the bulk of their money through endorsements like OJ did with Chevrolet and Hertz. But that was only a handful of the top personalities in the game like Namath, Bradshaw, OJ, etc. Even adjusting for inflation the money was nothing like today. Of course back then football was not a round-the-year job and you could do both. OJ regularly made TV shows and movies in the offseason while under contract with the Bills.

Athletic article out today on the NHL offseason by Michael Russo and Eric Duhatschek. On Winnipeg - "The most pressing matters revolve around Hellebuyck and Scheifele, who come in at Nos. 1 and 2 on our first edition of the offseason trade board. Hellebuyck is one of the NHL’s few true No. 1, workhorse goaltenders. He won the Vezina in 2020 and is a finalist again. How much is he going to want on a long-term deal? Currently making $6.16 million, he could command $9 million-plus on the open market. Can the Jets stomach that? If he becomes available, don’t be surprised if Buffalo and New Jersey take big swings. One thing we’ve heard early this offseason is that the Sabres have interest in Hellebuyck, with the belief that a genuine No. 1 goaltender could be the last remaining piece in turning them into contenders. Getting one would also allow them to hold off on turning the reins over to Devon Levi until he’s proven to be NHL-ready. The Jets would want young team-controlled assets in exchange, and the Sabres have plenty of those — from a youngish goaltender in Ukko-Pekka Luukkonen to promising talents like Peyton Krebs and even Casey Mittelstadt."

Will DeAndre Hopkins be available this offseason?
QCity replied to NeverOutNick's topic in The Stadium Wall
Well let's see. He's past his prime, has an onerous contract, and has been caught using PEDs. What could go wrong? It's been 3.5 years since he caught that Hail Mary, folks. This fanbase has an unhealthy love affair with players that have won them a fantasy football title 5 years ago. -
Only 5 1PM games seems odd.

Both parties speak out. How Matt Araiza, former NFL punter, is trying to clear name after rape accusation
-
I stand corrected then. That is very interesting wording. Ok, so she lied about Araiza leading her to the room and then lied about being gang raped. We're getting close to the point where some will soon be accusing the DA and prosecutors of lying or covering it up.
-
She went to the police and told them Matt Araiza threw her face down on a bed and then gang raped her. She's a liar.
-
Yes, there is video that the DA has watched. I'm posting quotes from the articles because it's clearly obvious many are simply too lazy to read them. “Prosecutors said the footage from the cell phone of the sexual encounters did not suggest any forced behavior. “There’s nothing in the videos that sound like you’re saying ‘stop’ or ‘this hurts’ or anything like that,” Ted Mansour, an investigator for the San Diego County district attorney’s office, said at the meeting. Prosecutors also said that videos from the bedroom show that her piercings were not ripped at the time and she was not bleeding from any wounds from it. “I don’t see any elements of force being used in the sexual encounters,” Assistant District Attorney Amador said.” Multiple witnesses at the party heard her saying “I want you to [expletive] me and if you don’t [expletive] me you’re a [expletive].” and you are bothered by the "asking for it mentality?" She wasn't asking for it, she was literally demanding it.
-
In the long run the real victim won’t just be Matt Araiza, it will be the actual victims of rape and sexual assault. This girls’ heinous lies certainly won’t make it easier for them to come forward. “Prosecutors said the footage from the cell phone of the sexual encounter did not suggest any forced behavior. “I don’t see any elements of force being used in the sexual encounter,” Assistant District Attorney Amador said.” And if you are waiting for mea culpas or apologies from posters here or the digital lynch mob on Twitter they aren’t going to come. People on the internet don’t admit they are wrong -- they just move the goalposts to a point where they can rationalize their behavior in their own mind.

lol there's no counseling program on the planet that is going to stop drunk college kids from having sex.

Don't expect an apology from the shrieking Mafia Wives Club on Twitter. They've got their heads too far up their own assess.
