  1. If he rehabs and comes back to play next year, yes. But that's a huge question mark. At his age an injury settlement seems a lot more likely. How many players come back from that injury at age 40? I'm going to guess zero. Also, this guy is blowing up on social media, follow him for next week's lottery numbers.
  2. It depends if he retires or not. They would have lost their 2024 1st round pick if he played 65% of snaps, but now they only lose their 2024 2nd. So they go that going for them.
  3. Christ that is brutal. You can tell it snapped and his calf is already balling up. *shudder*
  4. If anyone has his 1st half and 2nd half stats post them, because that was a bizarre transformation. Forcing deep balls into double coverage, not going out of bounds to get an extra yard, etc, etc, it was just insanely aggressive to do that against a backup QB.
  5. It's an aberration for sure, but that offensive gameplan looks eerily similar to what we saw at the end of last year -- no run game and force the ball to Diggs all day.
  6. I was expecting to see more 12 personnel.
  7. Well they can count on 1 more win I guess.
  8. No, but he's old.
  9. The NYC market certainly does. MNF is ESPN's highest rated program.
  10. yeah, better chance of a turnover than a score with that playcalling.
  11. That sidearm.
  12. Teller is an indictment against the coaching staff, not Beane.
  13. If all you see on this forum is constant negativity the problem is with you unfortunately.
  14. It's important because you struggle to understand things?
  15. The player that wears the greet dot (aka the headset) doesn't make the calls, he simply relays them from the coach to the rest of the defense. You want two things out of this player: 1) Has to be on the field for 99+% snaps (a LB that subs out in nickel/dime packages isn't optimal) 2) Has to be in a position where the defense can hear him (a DT or CB playing off the ball isn't effective) Typically MLBs fit these requirements and that's why Edmunds wore the dot in past years. I think I saw 5 or 6 teams put the dot on safeties last year so it isn't something that is set in stone for MLBs. Kirksey wore the dot in the past for the Texans, but they starting subbing him out on passing downs and gave the dot to Zach Cunningham because he was always on the field. Years ago I used to try to explain this to people who were amazed that Kiko Alonso was calling defense plays as a rookie. lol he got the dot because he was the only every-down LB on that team that didn't come off the field.
  16. It's not that he was aging, it was his concussion history. He already had 5 concussions by 2020 at a position where there's contact on every play. He's a huge question mark to make it through 17 games. During that 2021 draft I wrote that we had a shot to get Josh his Kent Hull for the rest of his career. Unfortunately, Creed Humphrey went to one of the worst possible destinations for us.
  17. Nate Hackett is trending because he came across as a complete goofball this week.
  18. I'm calling BS. The idea of shopping a franchise quietly is nonsense.
  19. Beane has been on Miller's SiriusXM radio show every year since he's been a GM. It seems they have a good relationship and not inconceivable that they speak off the record. Beane's rumored persuit of Lance lends credence. Of course, the clear evidence is how poorly the backups have played, especially in terms of protecting the football.
  20. So much for protecting the football
  21. Miami is an intriguing destination for him. McDaniel was his OC in SF 2021 and with Tua's injury history you would have to think he gets playing time.
  22. Nope. Players are bigger, stronger, and faster than they've ever been and their bodies can't take that kind of punishment to sustain the longevity it would take (15+ seasons).
  23. Another good tip - if you ever have a gift card with a few dollars left over on it always save them for offers like this. Never have to worry about cancelling or being charged (assuming not enough money left on the card for transfer to go through).
