  1. The real winners this week are the Refs that are on strike. They had to gain a lot of leverage after this, becuase it's now obvious there's no way in hell we can start the season with these clowns. That was brutal.
  2. Welp, no starters got injured.
  3. After that last pick, I'd agree. What did he underthrow him by, 15 yards? ouch....
  4. Oh man Fitz looks rough. Like the Fitz from the last 8 games of last season. It's only preseason It's only preseason It's only preseason
  5. About as much as you can show for not having played a preseaon game yet. They showed Johnson looking good in practice, V. Davis sort of lollygagging, a scrimmage, and they highlighted the QB competition between Garard, Moore, and Tannehill (Garrard in the lead atm). They did the standard husband/wife interviews together for the 3 quarterbacks, probably to further reinforce what's at stake here. They showed a pretty unique practice technique implemented by Philbin that has both the first and second units on the field at the same time, which doubles the amount of snaps they get and keeps the practice tempo high. Of course Johnson hammed it up as expected, and the rookies got thier first hazing. I was also surpised that the players get to stay in such a swank hotel, while most teams opt for the basic dorm lifestyle. Great first episode and I'm always amazed at the editing, especially when you consider they only have a day or two to piece the whole show together before it airs.
  6. Yes, he definitely played MLB in Oak when he was racking up those 100+ tackle seasons.
  7. Yeah Morrison really didn't play at all last year, so I don't know who the Morrison haters were watching. When he actually did get a few snaps at the end of the season, he was ILB in a 3-4 playing out of his natural position. I think Morrison is going to be an above average OLB for us this year.
  8. Forbes had the Browns valued at $977M, so that $1B figure is a fair price. Forbes has the Bills valued at $792M in case anyone is curious. Of course, if the new owner had the intent of moving the team to LA, then the Bills could easily go for over $1B in that scenario.
  9. Clearly Lindell is responsible for our playoff drought.
  10. Was a great call to ditch this guy while we could. I know it pains the Lynch apologists to hear this, but we got decent value for a guy that already had his share of legal problems. I would bet a large sum of money that this isn't his last run-in with the law either.
  11. Do people think they are a unique snowflake because they pay taxes? You are entitled to exactly two things from your taxes: 1) Jack and 2) Sh*t
  12. Exactly. Just curious, how would the OP like to hear 100+ HR called?
  13. Some rookies simply have more skill than some veterans. I'll bump this post when the figures eventually come out and we'll see who's right. If it's $300M, I'll bow to your inside knowledge. If it's not, I'll kindly point that fact out
  14. That can't be right. If the state is willing to kick in $300M, then they should start talking about building a new stadium. Heck, Houston built a stadium with a retractable roof for $350M, which is something like $450M in 2012 dollars.
  15. Yeah, Gibbs won 3 Superbowls with 3 different QBs.
  16. No kidding, there's also 500,000+ addresses in the phone book, but there's a big freaking difference between that and printing it on the front page of the newspaper. I don't know why that's so hard to understand, maybe you work for the News?
  17. GTFO of here with that nonsense. It wasn't a house of notoriety until they ran that article, and no one cared who that shyster lawyer was. He didn't need an LLC for privacy - all he needed was for the local paper to not print his entire address right on the front page. Now read the Wawrow article linked above. That's all the News had to say - "suburban Buffalo".
  18. I was thinking the same thing the instant I read that article. They printed the man's address on the front page of the paper....wtf
  19. The house cost $3.5M to build in 2005. It has been on the market for almost 2 years. I think the bank was initially asking $2.75M for it, and kept dropping the price until about 5 months ago when it bottomed out at $2M. To be honest, he got a heck of a deal and bought at the perfect time.
  20. When they officially announce Kelsey as the starting RDE the crying is going to be epic.
  21. Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time.
  22. I agree with you except I think there's a good chance will be the starting RDE, subbed out in passing situations (we already heard from Wannstedt that Mario will line up at LDE). Kelsey is a very good player in a 4-man front when he can put his hand down. He took a lot of flak the last 2 years for when he was asked to play LB (that was a disaster). I don't think a lot of people realize the huge difference between being a full-time defensive lineman and a situational pass rusher. Mark Anderson's two best years (rookie season and last year) came when he was a situational pass rusher. In his five years as a starter he was an average DE that never tallied more than 5 sacks a season.
  23. Hard Knocks is a fantastic show. I think any true fan of the game would it watch it regardless of what team was hosting.
  24. You can download it here
  25. All steroids have a lingering effect - it's called muscle mass lol. Some steroid cycles have periods where advanced users don't take anything for 5-6 months. You don't lose your strength the day after you stop taking them. If you quit taking them forever, eventually your muscle mass will recede to "normal" levels - but for a gym-rat type like Merriman, that could take a long time.
