  1. When did you determine they were on the verge of being a winner? After Green's first 6-10 season, or the following back-to-back 5-11 seasons? Warner? Green was the HC when Leinart was drafted btw. Still waiting to hear who these coaches are that could change everything for this org.
  2. ESPN is reporting that many of his assistant coaches would also follow him, and that getting the right OC would be key.
  3. Don't keep it a secret, tell us these names. Exactly! Look at his team this year, it's obvious you haven't. Skelton? Lindley? They started off 4-1 when Kolb was still alive and beat the Seahawks and Patriots. Keep him away from personnel and get him a QB. Although the QB thing will apply to any HC we hire.
  4. Basically just a random player taking a guess. Quentin Groves Tweeps I'm just giving you guys my thoughts and opinions, no sources, just seems like a great choice to me!
  5. Well tell us PastaJoe, who is this proven winner with a solid track record that isn't another losing team's castoff? We're all ears. And if you are delusional enough to dare say Cowher, you may as well just go post in the "Jim Kelly/Thurman Thomas are buying the team" thread.
  6. Just for the heck of it, here's one more: Bill Belichick Season Team Record 1991 Cleveland Browns 6-10 1992 Cleveland Browns 7-9 1993 Cleveland Browns 7-9 1994 Cleveland Browns 11-5 1995 Cleveland Browns 5-11 That looks like a head coaching career that's DOOMED to a bunch of 6-10 seasons...
  7. Are there people out there that actually believe there are coaches with 14-2, 13-3, 15-1 records just waiting to come here? Seriously, are you waiting for a coach who went 14-2 last year to come to Buffalo? I got bad news for you. You can't just look at a record, you have to look at what that coach had to work with. As I said earlier, you could make the argument that there isn't a team in the NFL right now with less talent than AZ. I been watching football since they were the St Louis Cardinals, and let me tell you they have been one of the worst run organizations in the history of the NFL. You think our 13 year playoff drought is bad? This is a organization that went 30 years without a double-digit win season. They were that insignificant. I never thought I would see a Cardinal team anywhere near the Superbowl, but there they were. You can sit here and discount it all you want - they played in a weak division, they had a HOF QB, etc, etc, but the fact is they were one play away from winning The Big One, and Whis was the guy on the sidelines. I don't personally think he is the best choice for us, but he's hardly as bad as some people are making him out to be.
  8. No, it's not worth repeating.
  9. I forgot about Petersen. Still, this Bills team has far, far more talent than the Cards.
  10. You could make the argument that no team in the league has less talent than the Cardinals. They are Larry Fitzgerald and 52 other guys. I guess Calais Campbell is pretty good. But really they had no business even winning 5 games this year. And like some other poster mentioned, if it wasn't for that one perfect pass in the Superbowl, we would not have any chance whatsoever at getting a guy like this.
  11. It's amazing, the Jets always find a way to screw us.
  12. Mel Kiper was on ESPN again yesterday morning and said he thinks Glennon will be the first QB off the board. Walterfootball now mocks the Bills taking him 6th overall and there's at least 2 new threads on TSW from fans predicting we pick Glennon. Not bad for not playing a game in the last month. I'm starting to think Kiper has more influence than the combine lol. Reminder for those interested in seeing him in action, he plays this Monday at noon.
  13. This game was definitive Fitz. A true masterpiece that encapsulates his career. 60 minutes of inaccurate, wobbly, 8-yard passes that culminates with a red zone pick to end the game. OMG that last pick was just....just....wow...
  14. This is an amazing deal. To get a 7+ year commitment like that with a rotting 30+ year old stadium is unheard of in these times.
  15. I think it's going to be fascinating to see how far he rises. I bet by the time the combine is done all the major mockers (mcshay/kiper/etc) will have him going top 15. Should also be interesting to see how this board reacts. The majority of people posting still don't have a clue who he is, but watch how many start parroting McShay/Kiper when he shoots up their boards. You will see a deluge of "I watched every single one of his college games" posts popping up But I agree with you, he's going in the 1st.
  16. Saw a bit with McShay/Kiper on espn earlier and Kiper was singing praise for Glennon, and said he would be a 1st rounder.
  17. You can't use Stub Hub as an accurate measure of unsold seats. Brandon said that there are over 10,000 seats left (right now) for the Jets game, but Stub Hub shows only 3,600 left.
  18. Exactly. The guy just came off a 2-month IR stint and started his first game. I thought he looked ok considering they went after him all day.
  19. Fitzpatrick is starting to make me long for the days of Trent Edwards. Holy crap was he terrible today, they could have picked him off about 5 times...
  20. I'd like to see what Glenn does against J.J. Watt, who has become the league's dominant pass rusher this year.
  21. What a cruel article. Shame on you Buffalo News.
  22. Why? Why would you even want to know that? What purpose would that possibly serve? Another team's coaching decisions for a completely different roster from a different year/era has no bearing whatsoever on our current coaching decisions. Also, I am not asking to switch starters, but to bench Fitz when he starts to struggle (Jets / 49ers). You were the one arguing that it would hurt Fitz's confidence (which I do find hysterical). Hell, I seen Joe Montana get benched in the 3rd quarter of a playoff game before. And he already had 2 rings on his fingers. So I just don't get this "unbenchable" rule about Fitz.
  23. See, I liken it more to basking on a sunny beach, when all of sudden a tsunami warning comes in and you are told to evacuate immediately. "Hey, just ignore that warning, the sun is still shining bright right now and you don't fuss when on vacation!" And this "tied for first place" argument is a joke. Yeah, technically we are in first. Also technically we are on pace for an 8-8 season while getting drubbed by the 2 division opponents we are trying to surpass, with a QB on pace to throw over 20 picks (again) who pads his stats when we are getting blown out (see Jets game after we go down 41-7). Show me "tied for first place" after 16 games and we'll talk, because right now we are also tied for last place btw. Hopefully we defeat the Titans and Fitz plays decent (just complete 1 long throw - just 1) and this dies down a bit. But if we lose at home to the Titans and Fitz throws 3 picks, this argument may be moot because the fans might throw him off the peace bridge.
