The entire point I was making was directed at this upcoming generation of video game consoles. If you want, I can type out a laundry list of evil things Microsoft has done over the last 3 decades. But there's no need for that because it's clearly evident which console manufacturer has listened to the masses this time around. In 7 years I have full faith that Sony will screw something up and open the door for someone else. That's hardly a definitive reply from Major Nelson. Do you think when you are old and grey you will be able to dust off your XBone and show your grandchildren what games were like in 2013? I think it would be naive to believe that. You will be lucky if this thing works in 2023. I agree that there's a lot of conflicting info out there, but ask yourself this - why doesn't Microsoft simply clear up the misinformation with a simple official statement on their website? They can't, because most of this stuff is true - they need some wiggle room to backtrack.

It's not about which console is "winning", it's about a company that is listening to what its customers want, and another company that is trying to tell customers what they want. This is what happens when you pull the crap that Microsoft is trying to pull. And yeah, of course they can modify the firmware to stop the daily check after say, 10 years or so. Where did they say they are ever going to do that? Ask the Halo 2 players about Microsoft servers lol. The XBone will sell units I'm sure, there's an entire legion of 13 year-olds that will be screaming for Call Of Duty this Christmas. Microsoft knows they could build a system that literally kicks you in the nuts every morning and they still would sell units.

There is no DRM on the PS4, it's all in the hands of publishers, exactly the same as it is now on the PS3 and XBox 360 (and every console before). And after the recent backlash we've seen, I highly doubt any company will dare try it (well OK, I'm sure EA will at some point lol).

Byrd wasn't even on the field for the Cleveland TD, it was Wilson, Rogers and Gilmore on that side. So.....yeah, your memory needs some refreshing. He has no man assignment in a zone cover-1, so you can't lay the blame squarely on him. He was the best coverage free safety in the league last year. Maybe you've been confusing him with Justin Rogers all these years?

I've had an XBox 360 for over 5 years and I love the thing, but after this last week and watching E3, there's no way on earth I will be supporting this piece of crap. What the heck is Microsoft smoking? DRM, daily connectivity check, no used game market, no indie dev support, a Kinect that monitors you, and it costs $100 more than the PS4? They should call it the Xbox Titanic lol

Fell flat the next? He had his best year last year. He didn't allow a single TD in coverage, and as QB's shied away from him (only 21 targets), he still managed to pick off 5 balls and change the outcome of at least 1 game (maybe 2). He's the best coverage free safety in the league, and aside from an aging Ed Reed the best free safety in the league period. If you indeed watched his play last year and considered it average, you either a) don't know the difference between a strong safety and a free safety, or b) need to cut back on your liquor intake during these games. There wasn't a better free safety on the field last year, and I'm not just saying that as some blindly-devoted Bills' homer. If you want to make the argument that a safety isn't worth $8M+, okay, that discussion has legs. But to say he's average and can be upgraded is laughable.

It's much better for ratings to become a bottom-of-the-barrel contrarion (i.e. Skip Bayless) than it is to provide an accurate analysis. It's unfortunate, but we reward the "look at me" media by not looking away.
