  1. If we were a dominant team with a Hall of fame QB like Manning or Brady then no. But we're a team that's been trying to turn the corner for over a decade, and in our case it's a huge disadvantage (1-5 record). The Pats, Fins, and Jets get 8 home games. We get 7. Every other GM in the league can stand up and say "Our organization is 100% committed to winning first and foremost" Our front office can never say that. As a matter of fact, they have to carefully skirt that issue - lest one of our local scribes will stand up and call them on it. We sell a home game and put profit ahead of our commitment to winning, and that's a fact (however sad it is).
  2. I never said the Toronto game was preventing us from the playoffs this year. I never thought for a second we were going to the playoffs this year.
  3. It sure doesn't help. Maybe I should start a thread titled "Who wants to apologize to Russ Brandon?" We could all congratulate him on the fine job he is doing expanding our regional base.
  4. Every team has the "best" fans. This thread reads like a mother reassuring her insecure children that they are beautiful. I'll give you that.
  5. It's a Hail Mary from someone about to lose an argument.
  6. If "Pittsburgh" EJ shows up over these last 5 games they will.. Saying there's zero chance just makes you look silly. This isn't the old CBA where a team became tied-down by a 1st round contract. He never said that. You asked for someone to show you a particular situation and he did.
  7. I guess fans have varying definitions for "rebuilding year." You want to see a rebuilding team? Watch the Sabres. That's what a rebuild looks like. Tear the team down and, you know, re-build it. None of that is happening with the Bills. This year is all about finding our QB. I've said this before - this team is a QB away from being a Wildcard playoff team. And not an elite QB like Manning or Brees either. Put a game manager like Alex Smith on this team and we are 7-4 right now, there would be a huge migration heading north this week for the game, and the Dec Miami game is sold out. Maybe that happens if EJ doesn't get hurt? We'll never know. These last 5 games are going to tell us if we have to draft another QB next year.
  8. Well it's really not possible to be mathematically eliminated before November so that doesn't say much. I will agree with most of the sentiment in this thread, it's not a rebuilding year but more of a test to see if we have our future QB. I don't see us beating a feisty Tampa team on the road nor the Patriots, who will need the final game for home-field advantage. A 7-9 record with EJ going 6-5 would be a sign that things are moving in the right direction.
  9. Hahaha holy **** dude hitting the sauce early this Friday?
  10. "There have been no charges filed yet" The wrong-way driver who caused a deadly accident
  11. Sure wish this one was at the Ralph...
  12. Shhhh!!! Don't ruin it!
  13. This is one piece of misinformation that was continually spread on TSW last year. CJ is signed through the 2014 season and has an option year in 2015.
  14. I'm kind of surprised that so many people are saying Leodis. Did anyone watch the last 8 games last year? He played shockingly well - almost like it was a different person, and that was in a Wannestedt defense with no pass rush. I definitely wasn't in the majority when I said I loved signing him in the offseason for $4.25M a year. I'd have to say A. Williams. By the end of last season he looked like a guy that didn't have much of a future in the NFL, and now he's been a bright spot on defense by playing inspired and aggressive ball.
  15. He just got 2 INT's against the 6th-seeded playoff team in non-garbage time last Sunday. Wake up.
  16. This move may have just vaulted T.J. Graham to the top of The Whipping Boy list.
  17. From weeks 1-5 EJ was a Whaley pick all the way. After the Pittsburgh game the truth came out and we finally learned that Nix was the man that drafted him. Now that we beat the Jets, it turns out that was a lie and Whaley really did draft EJ (phew!). Tune in next week to see how far BIlls fans will distort reality for their own peace of mind!
  18. I'm stunned. Did I actually see TJ Graham catching footballs? This is going to suck when I wake up later....
  19. Awww did Jarius hurt your feelings? It's a business, and I knew this thread was coming lol
  20. I agree, and fully expect another 8+ punt game from Moorman. Things could get real ugly in town for EJ after this one, because I can't see him doing much with his top 2 WRs out facing the top run defense in the league. This isn't a sour grapes prediction - it's reality.
  21. Yeah, pretty much what I said... I'll admit I was wrong about calling him "Classic Fitz," as that would entail him throwing a 4th quarter pick.
  22. Exactly. How do you know he isn't? Guy hasn't stepped onto the field yet. I'm not a fan of Nassib, but the other QBs aren't exactly lighting it up.
