  1. 4 of the 5 guys playing yesterday suited up for Chan in 2012. Remember the blocking on those beautiful screen plays? It feels like that was 10 years ago, not just 2. They weren't exactly the Washington Redskins' Hogs of the 1980s, but they were a somewhat competent line. Their play on the field yesterday looked like a 3-hour Chinese fire drill. There is certainly a lack of talent missing, but the coaching has a big part to play in this too.
  2. Denver looks like they have no interest in this game and just want to get back on the plane.
  3. Yeah, this is just wrong and complete nonsense (sorry, but there's no polite way to put it). This was one of the worst performances by a Bills' offensive line that I've ever seen. I believe it was our worst rushing total in 17 years -- and it wasn't because CJ Spiller ran the wrong way 3 times. I would be more than happy to break down all of CJ's 8 touches on the A22 tape, but if you can't even see the missed block in the above GIF, it would just be a waste of both of our time.
  4. Here's the GIF I promised you. This play winds up going for 2 yards. In honor of Kraig Urbik, I call it, "Crap Rolls Downhill"
  5. I guess that 6% playoff chance had some merit. The Playoff Machine was fun while it lasted though.
  6. What's really scary is that we have been trying to fix it, and it's become apparent that we simply can't. Last year it was Colin Brown and Legursky. This year, Chris Williams and three draft picks -- and the OL is getting worse. And pretty much all this. I'm going to make a gif of Urbik trying to block on that screen pass -- the play where he just whiffs and winds up doing pretty much nothing at all.
  7. git er done?
  8. I don't think Adrian Peterson could run behind that line today.
  9. We had 13 yards rushing today.
  10. That's hysterical.
  11. Guys, there's a forum for fantasy football trades.
  12. Baltimore and KC victories. Wouldn't mathematically eliminate us, but we would need a KC/San Diego tie in Week 17 (among other things).
  13. Now that looked like a road game on no rest.
  14. Those Vines show 2 terrible passes, you'll get no argument from me there. Those plays happened in the 2nd half, I was breaking down the 1st half (I didn't even re-watch the 2nd half yet). The throws on the Watkins slips are right there, you might want to withhold judgement until you get a view from a better angle or watch the A22 tape. This is a great example of how a play can be misinterpreted by only watching network TV coverage. Even the coaches on the sideline are telling Sammy, "If you stay up, it's a wrap." Sammy Watkins wired for sound
  15. We're going to have to disagree then. Again, I'll admit that Orton played lousy, but Woods has to catch that ball -- it hit him cleanly in the hands. I know it's hard to blame Watkins for anything around here, but he slipped and fell twice and it wasn't because of poor throws. His demeanor after the second slip clearly showed how frustrated he was with himself. As far as the sacks go, KO is just never going to be an elusive QB. He's a statue and the book on him is to get him to move his feet. You can put most of the blame on him for the sacks, but the interior of the line has to give him more room to step up. I thought the 6yd pass to Hogan was a very interesting play. Watkins was running down the sidelines, but he wasn't open. Woods ran a useless 2 yd out and Hogan ran a 6yd hook, where if he catches it, all of his momentum is heading back towards the LOS on a 3rd and 12. Freddie is a safety valve and Chandler is probably the best option, but Burnett looked like he read that play well and was ready to step in front of him. I guess you can say Chandler would have been the best option but it would have been a dangerous pass and certainly not a sure 1st down. The bigger question is why would you call a play on 3rd and 12 where 3 of your 5 possible targets have no realistic chance to get a 1st down if they catch it?
  16. Homestand is over. We need to get on the road and start getting our ass kicked. Oilers fire Dallas Eakins Maybe this will inspire them
  17. Chicago ditched Orton for Cutler -- it cost them a ton of money, draft picks, and really didn't work out for them. Following in their footsteps 5 years later would be insane.
  18. Kyle Orton was never going to retire, even his old boss knew that was complete nonsense. Jerry Jones: Kyle Orton doesn't plan to retire from NFL
  19. I can't say for certain what the design was, was mostly commenting on the execution. And unless they were attempting to set up screen passes all half, the execution was poor. The middle was blown up on long yardage plays, and this is without BJ Raji playing.
  20. Yeah, I was just focusing on the 1st half for the time being. Trying to figure out how we can get the ball 7 times and only come away with 3 points. I'm not trying to absolve Orton -- he needs to play better, but it's a lot more than "just the QB." The entire offense was a train wreck, from blocking schemes to route running.
  21. I didn't see that in the first half. Woods dropped a ball that hit him in the hands on 1st and 10, then the next play was an INT.
