It's almost like they thought we were joking when we said this year's FA QB crop is a complete dumpster fire.

Drafting EJ Manuel is what set this franchise back. Not Marrone. Not Hackett. Not Orton. As a matter of fact, the only reason Orton was even a member of this team is because we drafted EJ Manuel. He's been here over two years now -- that's two OTAs, two training camps, two preseasons, and two season openers where he was the starting QB. They know what they have.

It wasn't our job to convince him of our plans at QB, that's ludicrous -- it's up to him to choose an OC and decide what direction to go at QB. It was his job to pitch a QB plan to the Pegula's, and it's now apparent that his plan involved bringing Roman on board.

He was given a $27.5M guaranteed contract. That was the sales pitch.
