  1. Ya Borland is a beast. Willis has visibly slowed the last 2 years and can't seem to stay healthy. He's a big name that would set the fans aflutter, but I don't think there's much left in the tank.
  2. Never made sense that he would sign without testing FA. He's come too far to sign 4 days away from UFA.
  3. $21.5/$15M guaranteed Hoooooollllllyyyyyy %&*$
  4. You can't assess his kicking based on touchbacks alone. His best game for us was the Jets game we played in Detroit. He could have kicked every ball out of the back of the endzone, but he didn't. He boomed high, arcing kicks with air time to completely neutralize Harvin. I don't think Harvin ever got past the 20 in that game, and I'm pretty sure he got stuffed inside the 10 a few times because of those kicks. I'm not lobbying for a kickoff specialist, just pointing out a situation where you would think stats could tell the story, but they really don't.
  5. That was crazy. They blow a 2 goal lead and let in the tying goal with under a minute left. I was livid. Thankfully, good 'ole Eddie Lack had our back in the shootout. First win for ARI in 11 games!!
  6. There's a similar thread on the "other" forum, except it was made in February. The results were the same. If we traded picks for Donte Whitner tomorrow, this fanbase would talk itself into loving it.
  7. Worst selling jersey in Bills history?
  8. I doubt it.
  9. I fully understand the mechanics of trading before FA, the current FA QB landscape, and the chances of low draft picks succeeding. My criticism isn't even based on the quality of the choice, as we've known for a long time now that our QB position was poised to be a dumpster fire this season. If McCown was our first choice and Cassel second, then it's a failure by the front office to land their guy and a panic move to make sure it didn't happen again. I knew we were going to be throwing ~$5M at a sub-par veteran QB, I just didn't think it was necessary to throw draft picks at one as well.
  10. We just traded for a guy that was going to get cut. Smooth.
  11. 1 sounds right to me. His lateral movement looked pretty slow last year, and I feel he got outplayed by Demario Davis for many of the games. However, he would be a great bridge to steward the new defense. Seems like a lock to sign here, him and Rex are joined at the hip.
  12. Well it's ~$10M less that we have to spend.
  13. I'd have to agree. The public opinion will be overwhelmingly in our favor because it's a lobsided fantasy football trade, but when you factor in longevity it's probably a lot closer than most think. That's assuming both stay healthy.
  14. Shady is certainly not a power back. RB's like him drop off the planet verrrryyyy fast once they lose a step. With 6 years already on him, we probably just traded 2-3 years of McCoy for a career out of Kiko. Will be really interesting to see where this ends up 3 years down the line. Of course, it's always amusing to see how fast our fanbase can turn on one of it's idolized players.
  15. If you want to pretend that a 2017 2nd is equal to a 2015 2nd, then yeah. Be wary of Johnson. He looks terrible this year however he put up some pretty good numbers last year. Based on his interviews, it seems he would love nothing more than to screw up our tank. What do you guys honestly expect him to say?
  16. Amen. What a terrible knee-jerk thread.
  17. No real surprises today. GMTM probably could have gotten a bit more for Stewart if he traded him earlier, but that's probably being over-critical for a player that could be back on the team next year. Our goalie situation is....interesting. We're now in sub-.900 save % territory. Edmonton seems to have conceded that they have no chance to hang with us.
  18. Thank You Refs for that 5 on 3. Yeeeeeesh.
  19. His upside is higher than any FA on the market. None of this year's FA's are capable of putting up numbers like his 2013 stint. However, every FA QB is capable of putting up numbers like his 2014 season. Don't put too much credence into the celebration from the fanbase, I'd wager half of them have never seen McCown take a snap -- they've formed their opinion of him by simply Googling his stats. He drew serious interest from multiple teams, and while our front office won't be crying in their pillow, they certainly aren't celebrating.
  20. He doesn't have a mind control machine to manipulate what McCown does.
  21. Yeah there could be something to that.
  22. The length of the deal is pretty much meaningless. The contract is essentially a 1-year deal for whatever amount is guaranteed.
  23. You're missing the point I was making. I'm certainly not advocating that we keep 1 QB on the roster. You bring in 3 QBs that have a legitimate shot at winning the starting job. The 2 that don't win are your backups. You don't audition for backups when you don't have a starter in place. If the coaches feel that EJ has no chance of winning the starting job, or he doesn't fit into their system, there would be a case for moving him. It wouldn't make financial sense of course.
