  1. It is what's expected of every starting QB in the league.
  2. There was 1:24 left with 2 timeouts. Clock was not an issue. I did not. I have an huge issue with the read post snap, that won't cut it in the NFL. There's a possibility Clay takes that to the house.
  3. The A22 has been brutal for him.
  4. Tyrod posted a 112 QB rating the last game, a game in which he didn't reach the red zone until the end of the 4th quarter. That should tell you what a mirage QB stats are.
  5. They're not bringing in a new GM with the current coach still in place, that's ridiculous.
  6. I pointed out a few of his positives while basically saying he can't play QB in this league (that was the gist). It's kind of like saying I love EJ's work ethic and enthusiasm, yet I still don't ever want to see him under center for the Bills.
  7. I'm just curious as to why you want Rex fired after 4 games? There isn't an outside coaching candidate coming on board in October. Do you think promoting one of Rex's lackeys like Lynn or Thurman is going to be a spark? His brother? (LOL) Reinforcements aren't coming. There's really no benefit to a mid-season firing.
  8. John, you're putting too much stock into the Pro Bowl. He's played 16 games, he hasn't won a single one with his arm yet. Not one. Yes, he throws a great deep ball, and can make Sportcenter highlight plays. He's an insane runner, and can make plays with his feet that no other QB can. But he leaves so much on the field it isn't even funny. I'm not disappointed in the losses - I never thought playoffs were happening this year. I'm disappointed because it's apparent we don't have a QB on this team.
  9. Anyone that completes a pass in the preseason has franchise potential 'round these parts.
  10. It's impossible to break the chain of command when you are at the top of it.
  11. Maybe he'll bring his son along too. Great!
  12. I felt like a broken record saying this 5 years ago. At this point...

  14. Spot on. Tyrod's stat line for this game should be Exhibit A as to why you cannot judge a QB on stats alone, you have to actually watch them play.
  15. I didn't see many people using the booths last night. Here's my theory: The heavy drinkers typically paint themselves in the parking lot looooong before they enter the game, and the sober people want nothing to do with body painting.
  16. Oh, and comparing John Elway the GM to Doug Whaley is like comparing John Elway the QB to EJ Manuel. Those names shouldn't be used in the same sentence.
  17. Yes and Yes. The talent level of this team is very overrated by our fans.
  18. So, Brandon has some degree of influence over the people hired to control football operations, but because he does not personally bear direct control of these football operations, he is absolved of all culpability? Is this a new part of Fayol's Theory of Management? This could signal a new dawn for executives across the nation.
  19. Please change thread title to "Should Russ Brandon be on the Wall of Fame?"
  20. Well it's a good thing I didn't say that then. I did read it, and I agree.
  21. There is no need to repeat it, or to even say it in the first place. I think it's patently obvious that yes, if an owner does not like a coaching candidate there is nothing any President or GM in the league can do about it. If Doug Marrone had success from the get go, none of this is being discussed right now. If Chan Gailey had success from the get go, none of this is being discussed right now. If Dick Jauron had success from the get go, none of this is being discussed right now. What's the variable in this equation and what's the constant?
  22. No, he certainly agreed with it. Probably influenced it more than most want to admit. You inferred that he had no other option even if he did disagree. And just because he hasn't been acting unilaterally in the past while wearing the title of President doesn't excuse him from his mistakes.
  23. No, he doesn't have to tell him that. If he doesn't agree with the hire, he should voice his opinion on it.
  24. You seem to be a bit misinformed. Russ sat in on the Rex interview, he is 100% responsible for the hire of Marrone.
  25. Yeah, the "Marketing Man" typically sits in on coaching interviews. I guess the tooth fairy hired Doug Marrone?
