  1. Clearly something his agent wrote. I heard in this thread that this punk drank a beer in college. Massive character risk. It's silly that people were bemoaning our offensive production with 3 of our top 6 out. Every team in the league is going to have scoring issues if you take away their top 2 centers. D was terrible tonight and we got outplayed 5 on 5. We just don't have enough on the back end to weather our 2nd pair D going down. But we did beat one of the top teams in our division in their house. The big loser tonight was Matt Moulson. He got booted off the 1st team PP and it doesn't look like he's going to be back anytime soon. I predict he'll fall back into his 2-goal-a-month rut. Prove me wrong, Matt.
  2. The Bills have the #10 defense, Tyrod is 12th in QBR, and Lorenzo Alexander is a better pass rusher than Khalil Mack. Also from the Land of Make Believe, the Bills Superbowl chances are still alive. Tune in tomorrow to see just how big this mirage can get.
  3. Should probably start swapping Nilsson in for the shootouts. Think Lehner would mind?
  4. Fedun really shows how a D-man that can carry the puck affects this team. Franson should be worried about becoming 7th D when Bogo and Kulikov get back. I haven't read this thread in a week but damn, some of you need to hear the Aaron Rodgers R-E-L-A-X clip.
  5. That stat is only amazing to the people (Sal M.) still in denial that the NFL has shifted to a passing league. We haven't had a QB since that shift -- we've been bringing a water pistol to a machine gun fight for the past decade+ I know he threw for 374 this season.
  6. When a guy on the company payroll like Chris Brown starts making fun of you, you know it's bad. Bills up 4 spots in NFL.com power rankings "Tyrod Taylor has to make that third-and-5 completion to Percy Harvin on the final Bills drive. Jeff Tuel could have made that throw. EJ Manuel could have made that throw. Joe Ferguson could have made that throw. Joe Ferguson — right now, at age 66 — could have made that throw."
  7. Anyone who watches the A22 sees this on a weekly basis. It's staggering how poor his field vision is despite being able to generate so much time to throw with his legs.
  8. Just think how many cab rides you could get with that cash if you are lucky enough to be crippled in an accident!
  9. That game set football back 40 years. Wait. Was that even football they were playing?
  10. I think we've found the cab driver here. If you're honestly that scared of Uber it's probably best not to leave the house.
  11. I think all those hits to his head have gotten to him.
  12. Whoever made that was wrong 2 years ago and is still wrong now. Dead wrong.
  13. You can't say for sure that we are ahead because you haven't seen our rebuilt team on the ice this year. Again, our 2nd line is supposed to feature Eichel at C and Reinhart as his RW. We're sending out a different group of players every night on that line, most recently Foligno (lol) and Larsson. I won't even get into the injuries on D. Maybe instead of saying you "can't" compare them I should have said you "shouldn't" compare them. You don't think that trying to compare a multi-year rebuild based on one month of hockey is a bit of a knee-jerk? Would you still attempt to compare the rebuilds if Auston Matthews, their Jack Eichel, hadn't played a game yet this year? It's silly. Anyways, tonight's game could get ugly. I don't anticipate any hesitance to switch over to the football game at 8:30.
  14. They were 5th in the league in YPA and 9th in YPG, and they did it with a washed-up McFadden (who hadn't put together a decent season in 5 years).
  15. Bill Barnwell gets it. The Cowboys' O-line is the real NFL MVP so far "Do you know how many times Elliott was even touched by a Steelers player on his three touchdowns? Zero. Elliott traveled 129 yards from scrimmage on those three plays and never even had to beat an unblocked defender one-on-one." When I see the holes that Dallas line creates it reminds me of the early 90's Dallas line. Elliott's a good player, but nowhere near as good as those stats.
  16. Make sure you stay away from Dihydrogen Monoxide.
  17. I don't think anybody is evaluating the team in a vacuum. You can't evaluate them at all until they get reasonably healthy (nor can you compare them to another rebuilding team). Foligno, Larsson, and Gionta playing on the 2nd line is not part of "the plan." And just as Montreal was elevated when their best player returned, so will we. Whenever that is.
  18. Oh I agree. It's not that Bogo and Kulikov are world-beaters, there's just no one left to help when they go down. Watching players crash into our crease untouched while Casey Nelson stands around is maddening. You can't say that yet, because we haven't seen them on the ice together. I don't think our 1st line has logged 60 minutes of game time yet.
  19. Best line from that article is that they now operate in Kazakhstan but still can't in Buffalo. Here's the link to the petition they mention
  20. They're simply not a good enough team to win without their 2 best players. The back end is thin even when healthy.
  21. If Leger Douzable manages to become the impetus that tips the scales and brings Uber Statewide then I will consider this season a success.
  22. Right. Nothing to do with coaching. Just luck.
  23. Ok, it's definitely better than Wannstedt's defense.
  24. I watched him play 3 or 4 years ago for the Ravens and I thought he was pretty good in the box. He's a hard hitter, but pretty terrible in coverage. Not sure that's what our secondary needs at this point but whatever. Oh yeah, I think he picked off Andy Dalton like 4 times one season, so that's probably the thought process here. lol Rex
