  1. Very possible, the Chandler Jones trade reinforces your theory.
  2. It's entirely based on how much money he gets, and how much he gets in relation to other free agents. There are about 5 UFAs poised to get more money than him next year. The Browns (or any team) need to have a net loss in FA to be eligible for comp picks.
  3. It's more like a 4th, I doubt he gets the money to make him worth a 3rd round pick. Plus they wouldn't get the pick until 2018. Edited: now I'm reading they traded for Cleveland's comp pick in 2017.
  4. Getting 2 comp picks in 2016 doesn't invalidate my point. Try again. Rex wasn't here for the past 4 years either. It's still more likely to happen than Gilmore getting traded.
  5. The front office hasn't demonstrated that they even have a rudimentary understanding of how the NFL compensatory system works. 5 of their last 6 top picks have been on defense. Rex loves DB's.
  6. Letting Gilmore walk, bringing in a net gain of FAs in the offseason and not getting a comp pick for him, then drafting a CB in the 1st round is likely the game plan for this front office.
  7. It's true. To me this season was never about wins or losses or trying to squeak into the playoffs as a pretender. It was about TT and if he could prove he's our guy. It's just not happening. Unfortunately, he's just good enough to keep the coach and GM from getting fired, so he's going to be here 2 more years. Drink up.
  8. That's ridiculous, they aren't even close to the tank teams. It was a frustrating loss for sure, Dubnyk was fantastic in net and Nilsson looked the part of a backup. If they keep outshooting teams 38 - 22 they will be fine.
  9. Yeah Moulson was lucky on both of those. If you swap goalies we probably lose that game 4 - 1. A lot of it is on the coach. We had 5 days of rest and were playing a team on 0 days rest, and it looked like it through 2 periods. You heard the boos raining down at the end of the 2nd -- everyone knew they weren't going to lay down at home in the last period. And we just rolled over and got outshot 19-5 in that 3rd period. Really has nothing to do with missing star players, and a lot to do with having no heart. Thanks to Nilsson, we still probably win that game if Kulikov doesn't act like an idiot. But we won't sniff the playoffs if the team keeps taking 20 minutes off like yesterday, and that's on Disco Dan.
  10. Kulikov is a f'kn idiot and just cost us a point.
  11. You left out the fans, Fitz. Don't forget about the fans in about 5 different cities.
  12. Based on your previous posts in this thread, I don't think you can. Your arguments for renegotiating and restructuring are naive at best.
  13. Renegotiate? You clearly don't understand the situation.
  14. That was fun to watch.
  15. Ugh, you got shafted. You could have taken it to a dealer and paid about half that. Did he give a reason for replacing the calipers on an 8-year old car? And why did a brake job take 3 days? Parts for a 2008 Malibu certainly aren't rare.
  16. I have a nice pair of center ice 100 level seats for the game tomorrow. It's been a long time since I was looking forward to an opener like this one. You could almost sense a crescendo building up around town as Thursday drew nearer. Feels like a funeral home today.
  17. Read this: Chargers 'beat' impossible odds on way to 1-4 start
  18. The irony of this post quoting my previous post is just too much.
  19. You would think after 11 or 12 years without a QB fans would get this. Nah, we just beat Brissett and Keenum, surely it will work this year!
  20. What an atrocious game.
  21. Yeah, right. Pat McGroder and Terry Bledsoe were the true geniuses. Can't believe the HOF dropped the ball like this.
