Same here. I want them to be all business! No excuses, no slow starts, no “we’ll just turn it on”. Just straight up butt whooping time. -
I’m shocked!

I was thinking the same thing about Roberts. Knowing what we know now, money we’ll spent. -

I think this all goes back to forcing our guys to hold that Sabres sign as a marketing gimmick. I also think that they’ve approached this season with the wrong mindset. They bought into the hype about themselves and absolutely got punched in the face Week 1 by sleep walking into that game. While the coaching may be suspect I think the players think that they can just turn it on and off. The reality is they can’t. It’s in their heads. It’s in their preparation. It’s in their execution. I don’t know why but I think that’s the problem.

The sentiment that we should fire the head ball coach is ridiculous. I think a strategic shift in our offensive system is required. We have no clear offensive identity. We can’t run the ball effectively and have no balance. I think a Shanahan style offense needs to be installed. Run to set up play action and bootleg.

11/21 Colts at Bills, Postgame Postmortem Thread
AmishRifle replied to Hapless Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall
And the spirited discussion continues before we even make 7am on the East Coast. I agree with the statements above reference passion, or the lack of it. Sometimes you can’t get traction without friction. The leaders on this team need to step up and lead us out of this. Lastly, I completely disagree with the sentiment that we need to fire coaches in season. Nothing good would come of that. My thought is that the NFL is a pendulum and that it swings back and forth on the style of play and specific schemes that are in vogue. Personally, I think the game is beginning to swing back towards a balanced offensive approach as many defenses have moved to lighter pass rushers and LBers to defend the pass. There are not a lot of thumpers left in the league due to their vulnerability in the pass game. The league is changing and we need to as well….just not as quick as many would like. -

It’s interesting to me that Urban called our offense a spread offense in his pressers before the game. If you had one guy that absolutely understands how to stop a spread offense it’s Urban. I really think we are struggling to find an offensive identity right now. We don’t know what we are week to week and we have nothing to hang our hat on besides Josh Allen. No scheme, no formation, no patented signature play or concept. It’s troubling. -

Watching Minny/Baltimore. Vikings came to play! Defense has looked good. Ref Denver....I think their starting QB is out with COVID too.....that says a lot about the 'Boys. -

How do you deep down, really feel about this defense?
AmishRifle replied to Royale with Cheese's topic in The Stadium Wall
We don’t run a sexy, blitzing scheme that generates sacks and negative plays. For the most part, we stay conservative, keep everything in front of us, and try to force teams to throw short of the sticks. We expertly disguise and run a mix of zone coverages and sprinkle in man based on matchups. We still don’t dominate offensive lines with our front four, no matter the combination or platooned fresh legs. I don’t trust our ability to generate pressure on a 3rd and long without calling a blitz. I also don’t trust our tackling at times. It annoys me when the concept works and we let the guy break a tackle and they get a first down. I think there is some merit to the observation that we are saving some things for the playoffs. Additionally, I feel like Edmunds is getting better this year. I watched him closely at the Dolphins game yesterday and he brought the wood on a number of tackles. -
