Did you see the in game interview where Shady was playing down his receiving skills? He gave all props to Sammy when the interviewer was making a big deal about that TD catch!

I think Gay will be cut. Carp has outperformed him in camp per Astro's notes tracking kicks by both. The only lingering concern has to be Carp's injury that he had a year or so ago.

Concur with your thoughts on Gay. I think he gets cut and they use the roster spot for another need. I think the question is who they use the roster spot for. Do you carry an extra WR, LB, DB...?

The defense to include backup DTs and LBs looked good. Our front seven clearly dominated the Giants linemen; to include first, second, and third string. Eli Manning's first start in preseason didn't go well as he was under constant pressure, mostly without blitzing, and really never got to set his feet to make solid throws. Our secondary held up well except for one play. The communication on D is vastly improved and it's showing on the field. Play calls were in, assignments understood, and players executed. As far as EJ is concerned, I personally believe that many of his poor throws were due to receivers running the wrong routes. Without knowing the play call and the route assignments it's really hard to draw a conclusion as to who was at fault. I will say that we really couldn't get our running game going in the first half, but, McCoy had a fantastic game receiving with a very athletic catch for a TD.
