I'm wondering who gets the start in the 3rd preseason game. My guess, it's the one they need to see the most from to make their decision. Matt Cassel, they know exactly who he is.....So he has the 1st start. I'm thinking EJ starts against the Browns and Tyron starts in the rehearsal (game 3).

Last year, due to recent freebies, I paid full price (I didn't even attempt to ask for a discount and thought it was the right thing to do in paying full price - Directv has been great for me over the years since 2004). This year, I knew I had leverage going in. I started off the phone call immediately asking if I was under contract and subsequently I was transferred to retention (without asking for retention). We made small talk and they thanked me for being a long term subscriber. The initial offer was $20 off for 12 months and $9 off a month for the ticket (times 6 months). At this point, I made my move. I gave my wife the phone. It's a great play. They'll call my bluff (they know I'm a fan and will pay), but they'll make great offers when she speaks. Ultimately, they gave us the ticket for free and $20 off a month for a year. Success!!!!!!!

I was 14 or 15 when I met Marcellus Wiley at Training camp. Most of the players had already departed, when I saw him leaving the training room for his vehicle. Being a kid, I ran over to meet his SUV. I only had a small post card to be signed. He laughed and said, "What about this". He gave me one of his practice gloves and signed it on the spot. Made my trip! I've only spoken with players at training camp (and this was all during the early to mid 90's at Fredonia). Marv Levy and Steve Tasker were MORE than approachable. Jeff Burris wouldn't sign my Jim Kelly jersey (which had plenty of signatures when I asked), under the premise that he said he wouldn't sign another players jersey. I was probably 13 and felt like a kid at 13 would. Lonnie Johnson gave me an autograph, and I do not believe it was on purpose, but John Hancocked right through Jim Kelly's autograph. I still have the jersey and think about it every time I see it. Pretty much, only great memories of the Bills (minus the SB heartaches and the last 15 years). This year is different! Go Bills!

My favorite football player is getting cut. This sucks. I think it's better to be able to pull for the players and the team, vice just pulling for the team. Roster turnover indeed, but who else on the team received so much investment from the fan base? He made the Bills watchable when they were not even competitive. So next season we're pulling for the new Bills.....New on so many levels. I hope it pays off. Go Bills.

I agree. This has been a tough week for the fan favorites (Kiko and now possibly Fred). I came around on the Kiko trade - I mean we did get McCoy. But cutting Fred?????? That just sucks. Bills fan forever - but this one will hurt. (Side note: My wife bought me Kiko's jersey for my Birthday in January and I've had my Fred Jackson jersey for a couple of years - I went from having two of the most loved guys on the team to having two "vintage" jerseys in a few short days).

Get it done Whaley. Bring Stevie back. He can represent the number of productive Bills that were on bad teams and unable to make the playoffs. I always liked him. He was committed to Buffalo.

Chad Kelly commits to Ole Miss. SEC football with an opportunity to compete for a starting job. They have a good defense and have done well recruiting as of late.
